The White Sox are in first, but I think the Guardians are better. I’ve been rooting against the Guardians. Gotta pass them first. I always root against the team directly above us when the play the team two spots above us. Quote

He'd come up and in on RH hitters and completely tie them up Yet he still got through 5 with only 71 pitches. (Helped by a 7 pitch 5th). But an average of 16 pitches/inning through 4 is still not bad. Quote
antrat Posted August 9 Posted August 9 I don't remember Jobe throwing so hard. It was fun to watch last night. Even though the announcers were atrocious. Quote

The sound levels were all off too. Fox Sports is usually a more professional broadcast. Say what you will about the enshi$ification of our viewing options but the Apple and other, pay-more, can't-get-logged-in-on-this-device, "broadcasts" are usually pretty decent quality. Quote

Crawford segment was terrible - I wonder if they had any idea he be such a bad interview. That and the harping about a pitcher not wanting to be pulled. Pitchers never want to be pulled, that was a nothing burger and they really beat it to death. But other than they were OK. Technically, the fox strike zone 'shadow' thing (as opposed to a box) is also pretty useless. If they are going to make it too subtle to see well fdon't bother with one at all. It was also amusing that their overlay computers had the back wall advert appear in front of the batter a few times. My last gripe would be they kept using a side shot through the screen where the wires of the screen could be seen as a translucent checkerboard of light across the image. That was really distracting until I figured out what it was and still made for weird images. Edited August 9 by gehringer_2 Quote

The Crawford interview was odd. Was there an audio problem or is Crawford the most soft spoken pro athlete in history? That would have been OK if he had anything at all to say. Quote

Kevin knew better and ended up on second, didn’t he? Quote
chasfh Posted August 10 Posted August 10 Once again, the national baseball media know nothing about the Tigers. Either that or they are wishcasting Tigers to lose so they can get out of the way of the more lucrative Yankees and Red Sox. I tend toward the former. Quote
