And let's be real, no broadcast team is going to grill or be confrontational with someone from the front office of the team they cover. Easy to be a tough guy here but if Harris was signing your paycheck you'd be sweet as pie too. Oh yeah. I know. "GEE Scott, why are you SO smart" and "How are you the greatest executive in baseball history" 😅😅 Quote

Sports_Freak Posted August 12 Posted August 12 I paused it and came back and checked my phone. Jansen is worse than Todd Jones. When he succeeds, it's a surprise. Watching it after knowing the outcome is much less stressful. Quote
IdahoBert Posted August 12 Posted August 12 Harris knows how to build an organization from the bottom up. I like that. And there’s no way they’re gonna get him to play his hand and tell us and all the rest of baseball what he’s gonna do about getting our boy back in the old English D. Quote

lordstanley Posted August 12 Posted August 12 The Reds have scored 3 in the 8th to tie the White Sox 4-4. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted August 12 Posted August 12 Holton has been lights out. Use him in the 9th. Jansen is a disaster waiting to happen. Quote

Young pitchers are much more affordable. He may sign somebody on a 2 or 3 year contract but not the money Skubal will be demanding. Maybe Mize? Quote
IdahoBert Posted August 12 Posted August 12 The Tigers are now in second place in the AL Central 2 1/2 games behind Chicago. And to reiterate only one game below .500. Quote
IdahoBert Posted August 12 Posted August 12 This is great entertainment. And it’s so dramatic after that terrible terrible May we endured. Quote

I think the idea was to save Holton for a higher leverage situation - eg maybe tomorrow. The 4 run lead was the right time to send out Finnegan and Jansen but it almost wasn't enough. Maybe Hinch should plan on only using one of them on a given night night no matter what the lead! 1 Quote
monkeytargets39 Posted August 12 Posted August 12 Need Texas to lose too, but they’re playing the Angels Quote
Tigermojo Posted August 12 Posted August 12 AL East has three teams with better records than the other division leaders. If Baltimore goes on a winning streak it could be four. Quote
Tiger337 Posted August 12 Posted August 12 The Red Sox lost their 4th in a row. It will great seeing red sox fans go from Boston Strong mode into panic mode. Quote
