Might as well get back on track with a win.

I’m really tired of playoff mania. I just want to see good games. Chirpy, hopeful boosterism about the playoffs is humbug. I’m tired of caring about it. The constant hype, the constant betting odds. Blah! Before long there might not be baseball for a really, really long time. I’m willing to go down with this ship right now exactly as it’s built with no regrets.

Besides, it’s a bad world anyway and a plain old good baseball game takes the edge off of it.

Case in point, Hayden Panettiere died overnight. She was fantastic in the video game Until Dawn that I played with my son many years ago. And she’s been in tons of stuff I’ve never watched.

Savor this season while it lasts no matter what. Baseball is the cure.

Well said good man! I've been in a similar place. Working a career with mentally ill homeless keeps life in perspective. I see the Tigers as mostly playing with house money at this point. It's been such a crazy season. No team has ever made the playoffs being 16 games under .500 heading into June. Then the Tigers trade 2 of their best pitchers. Still hopeful they get into the post season, but I'm not all-in fully with my expectations. I'd rather enjoy my Culver's cod sandwich and not dwell on the weekend sweep.

Yep. If Det truly wants to make a run at the post season Framber needs to pitch well

Carpenter going to a foot specialist..would not expect him back this season. His future on the team should be in doubt with the left handed hitting on hand.

I'd be interested in who did that Pirates line up graphic on ESPN.

I'm partially color blind and the names blended right in for me.   I literally couldn't read them.   I could see that they were slightly differently colored, but not enough for me to read.
