casimir Posted Monday at 12:51 AM Author Posted Monday at 12:51 AM Might as well get back on track with a win. Quote
IdahoBert Posted Monday at 12:50 PM Posted Monday at 12:50 PM I’m really tired of playoff mania. I just want to see good games. Chirpy, hopeful boosterism about the playoffs is humbug. I’m tired of caring about it. The constant hype, the constant betting odds. Blah! Before long there might not be baseball for a really, really long time. I’m willing to go down with this ship right now exactly as it’s built with no regrets. Quote
IdahoBert Posted Monday at 01:04 PM Posted Monday at 01:04 PM Besides, it’s a bad world anyway and a plain old good baseball game takes the edge off of it. Case in point, Hayden Panettiere died overnight. She was fantastic in the video game Until Dawn that I played with my son many years ago. And she’s been in tons of stuff I’ve never watched. Savor this season while it lasts no matter what. Baseball is the cure. 4 1 Quote

I see the Tigers as mostly playing with house money at this point. It's been such a crazy season. No team has ever made the playoffs being 16 games under .500 heading into June. Then the Tigers trade 2 of their best pitchers. Still hopeful they get into the post season, but I'm not all-in fully with my expectations. I'd rather enjoy my Culver's cod sandwich and not dwell on the weekend sweep. 2 Quote

kdog Posted Monday at 09:31 PM Posted Monday at 09:31 PM Carpenter going to a foot specialist..would not expect him back this season. His future on the team should be in doubt with the left handed hitting on hand. Quote
papalawrence Posted Monday at 11:05 PM Posted Monday at 11:05 PM Didn’t realize game is on espn. Laundry night Quote
Dan Gilmore Posted Monday at 11:09 PM Posted Monday at 11:09 PM Same-didn’t expect ESPN. Good Framber, please. Quote
chasfh Posted Monday at 11:21 PM Posted Monday at 11:21 PM Whoa who is that guy in the Tigers dugout with the fabulous fabulous hair? Quote
NorthWoods Posted Monday at 11:25 PM Posted Monday at 11:25 PM I'd be interested in who did that Pirates line up graphic on ESPN. I'm partially color blind and the names blended right in for me. I literally couldn't read them. I could see that they were slightly differently colored, but not enough for me to read. Quote
IdahoBert Posted Monday at 11:27 PM Posted Monday at 11:27 PM I AM IDAHOBERT AND I APPROVE THE BEGINNING OF THIS GAME. Quote
IdahoBert Posted Monday at 11:29 PM Posted Monday at 11:29 PM Have they miked up a shortstop yet and talked to them during the game because baseball is so boring you have to have someone distract you from it towards something interesting? Quote
chasfh Posted Monday at 11:37 PM Posted Monday at 11:37 PM (edited) Man this Henry Davis is not missing on challenges so far. Edit: And Kevin McGonigle says “Challenge this!” (h/t ESPN) Edited Monday at 11:38 PM by chasfh Quote
IdahoBert Posted Monday at 11:38 PM Posted Monday at 11:38 PM Kevin McGonigle homers (13) on a fly ball to right center field. Gleyber Torres scores. Quote
