Normally they have higher fees than IRA's. You also have a lot more choices of what to invest in with an IRA. Another big benefit for someone just starting out or rebuilding. I don't particularly care one way or another, I just find it amusing to see Fox News (who themselves shelled out upwards of $800 million dollars for defamation), of all outlets, crowing about another network defaming another person or entity.
