  1. Past hour
  2. Did JV implode after giving up the 2 home runs?
  3. No. Funny. I talk to a buddy every night who, like me, started out as a mechanic back in the late 60s early 70s. We could fix our own cars. Not now, that ship sailed years ago. Special tools, fuel pumps inside gas tanks, starters under the intake manifold, batteries under the back seat, and every piece on the car that can be saved, cheapened, or made so it's easy going down the assembly line, they will do. You can't work on them and they don't want you to. I'll bet I could still get around in my 1979 souped up Chevy C10 pickup if I didn't break a telephone pole with it. Probably couldn't buy gas for it today.
  4. More proof that Harris reads this forum.
  5. Hope that you can still make it?
  6. Honestly, I’m fine if Verlander never comes back. He’s low-key a sideshow at this point.
  7. Maybe in batting practice.
  8. I was lucky enough to meet a lot of Pistons players in the late 80s and early 90s. Hastings was my favorite. Hilarious and very engaging with the fans. Sucks to see him let go.
  9. Perez for Short...lol. A hernia instead of a rupture.
  10. That situation is on a train to awkwardville. Especially when you have a cranky ignorant fanbase that thinks he is 2011 Verlander.
  11. These AAA pitchers are so inconsistent. Disaster of an inning. I guess we kinda know who is going down to Toledo later in the week?
  12. Sommers looked pretty good his last couple of outings. Not so much tonight.
  13. if he would have hit that one in between guys instead of right at a guy, it might have been a triple. Even that exact hit ball had a .440 xBA. So that hit was simply unlucky, not a fail. There are bigger issues he needs to work onto change things up, it’s just that in the middle of a season, there’s no time, so in the meantime he has to try to keep his head clear and just do the things he’s worked on properly to get results.
  14. I think I remember reading in the spring that Keith reworked his swing so he wouldn't get off to another slow start? Whatever he did, well, he started out good but not doing so well recently.
  15. Funny thing is replacing that engine mount took all of maybe 30 minutes. Can you imagine doing that job in that time on a car today? 🔧
  16. Drew Sommers taking the mound.
  17. Nah, you just need 5 guys that can score against Wemby. Like I said in the draft thread, you beat him with shooting.
  18. I just realized this game was on Peacock
  19. 102 EV on his last AB but no elevation.
  20. Yeah, I mean, in the spirit of anything is possible, it’s possible that Keith could have a sudden and immediate turnaround to become an above average hitter this season yet. But since we’re in the middle of the season and not in the offseason or spring training, I don‘t know how Colt can find the time to work on a different approach and commit it to muscle memory, if that’s what it’s gonna take.
  21. if he hadn't made the excellent plays, guys would have gotten on, and Clemens's double would likely have scored someone.
  22. I would be really surprised if we do not keep him through 2029. I think he would have to continue his abject collapse for the rest of this year plus maintain the abject collapse throughout 2027 plus continue the collapse well into 2028 before we just eat the rest of the contract. Otherwise, Keith would have to be crowded out of 3B and 1B by better long-term options right now for us to actively shop him.
  23. I don’t get what you mean here?
  24. btw, the only reason the spurs are shooting so well is because del said how great the knicks' defense was...
