  1. Past hour
  2. That’s going to be one of the things about the salary cap: if a team’s at the cap and a guy gets hurt, as Skubal just did, they would have no room to maneuver. Same goes for the trade deadline. Capped teams would be stuck, unless they develop some formula to assign cap space value to minor leaguers, maybe based on Pipeline ranks or something. Seems like that kind of thing would have to be baked into a CBA if they wanted to allow a majors-for-minors deadline trade under a cap regime.
  3. 135 shots to score 171 points is brutal. You give most NBA players that many shots and they will produce. The worst NBA player is still better than 99.99% of the population. He is 12-43 from three for a scorching 27%. He has 10 assists in 8 games His TS% is 55% which is below league average. A volume chucker is not considered a good player. Like I said, Cleveland is a bad overall team and with a bad defense. His numbers should improve.
  4. good.
  5. I kind of feel like when you suck like McKinstry sucks, does it matter that you suck against both lefties and righties equally?
  6. Today
  7. Mexico City needs to be on the NBA list. Possibly as high as #3.
  8. Excited to see this one. I am finally able to watch re-runs of No Reservations again. It hurt for long while. Miss me some Tony...
  9. but McKinstry hits lefties slightly better than righties L/R BA .238/.229 OBP .307/.296 OPS .678/.676 And I agree about Colt Keith. He's your second-hottest hitter this year, let him play. Colt is .250 BA vs. Lefties. Not that bad.
  10. I don't see the Lakers winning a game this series.
  11. Little Caesars Arena - Detroit, MI Watch: Prime
  12. I missed this game due in part to my daughter's college acapella choir throwing an informal concert.
  13. I don't know. Up and in after two HRs. He had 45 strikes to 15 balls thrown, so it's not like he was wild. I think the Story reaction is what did it. Had he just gone to 1B, I bet Valdez remains to throw more batting practice. I'm not blaming Story, I might have reacted the same way.
  14. Might as well win one game this series
  15. A wacky play called by Sterling,
  16. This season where Detroit takes equal or more shots than their opponent, they are 49-15 for a 76.5% win rate. Taking less shots they are 20-10 66.6% win rate.
  17. I see a lot of Cavs fans complaining about the free throw discrepancy. Cleveland attempted 80 field goals for the game. 38 of them were 3PTAs. You are not going to the line when half of your shots are 26+ feet from the basket, it's simple. Detroit took 84 field goals and only 26 3PTAs.
  18. I mean, after Duren, Harris is the biggest reason Orlando went to 7. He was a turd sandwich for six of those seven games. One of the worst players on the court. Shot something like 18% from three the first six games. TS% of 48% the first six games. We used to clown on Stanley Johnson and Killian when they were at 55%. Props for coming through in game 7 though, that was huge. Should be easier for him this series. Cleveland is a bad defensive team and nobody of any consequence will be guarding him. Mobley is also pretty easy for him to guard since he doesn't really use his size. He was still really inefficient last night, especially from three (1-5) so hopefully he can pick it up a bit. As far as contracts go. Nobody is giving him more than $15 million a year.
  19. We will win the division and make a run in the postseason. Better times ahead.
  20. The entire Central AL is now officially -.500. We are tied with Cleveland as the best of the worst. And the White Sox are the hounds of hell nipping at our feet.
  21. Tobias is playing his way into a decent payday this off season. I could see some team throwing 2/50 his way
