  1. Past hour
  2. You want production too? Any good CF who can also produce offensively is not going to be blocked. The question is whether there was a good field no hit guy available.
  3. I dont follow the minor leagues enough to know which players are ready or even available. All I'm saying is it shouldn't be that hard to replace these 3 guys who fill in at CF. Are you happy with their production?
  4. Could he hit .180? That would be an upgrade over Perez. These 3 guys are total black holes this season;
  5. No, come on, I’m being serious. You know MTF, we do this kind of thing all the time, where we propose trades. We all do it, so join the fun. Who are the blocked center fielders you see out there we could have gotten, and who could we have traded to get them? None of us have insider information but we still take a swing at it. You clearly feel very strongly about it so you must have some idea?
  6. Like I said, I'm not a GM with access to multiple scouting reports or a team of scouts giving me advice. But many, many teams make trades every season. And like Lee said, Harris made his one big move this season, acquiring Zach Short. Time for him to rest, it must be a very difficult job...
  7. how does Ament, 6-10 and athletic, shoot 52% at the rim? seems impossibly low
  8. Someone left the cake out in the rain.
  9. Yeah, I heard rumors they were asking for Melton. And, IMO, he was untouchable for the players who appeared available. And the other players you mentioned? Yeah, not for rentals or washed up players. But there were players moved for much less than top prospects. For instance, Suarez...who didnt do much, even though thats hindsight: Mariners receive: 3B Eugenio Suárez D-backs receive: 1B Tyler Locklear (Mariners’ No. 9 prospect), RHP Hunter Cranton (No. 16), RHP Juan Burgos (No. 17)
  10. What if you have a rare ingredient which can bake the cake quicker even if it's not perfect. You know that ingredient won't be available in the future, so you have to get it done now.
  11. It's funny... google (which we know is 100% reliable and accurate) seem to say his defense is his strength.
  12. Inflation up another half point to 4.2%.
  13. You know, you could have at least left me some hope that this guy was gonna be a good option for the Tigers... 🙂
  14. Jake Fisher reported the New Orleans only wants immediate help for Murphy, no draft picks. I still say Detroit needs to move Thompson is they give Duren a big contract . I wonder if NO would do Thompson for Murphy straight up Problem is, Murphy is about their only shooter. So I doubt Thompson would interest them much.
  15. I don't wanna jinx it but if the Tigers sweep? We'll pass the Twinkies in the standings.
  16. Even someone good at baking can’t finish the cake when it’s still only halfway done in the oven.
  17. I'm not a GM. Meadows went down LAST SEASON and Harris was very, very lucky Javy was good out there. If not, we would be in the same boat as right now, no real centerfielder. Just a few utility type players to cover a very important position. And it isnt like Meadows injuries are a surprise, he's been injured more than hes been available. I agree with Harris not looking for a young and blocked player for centerfield. We have our centerfielder of the future, almost ready in Toledo. All I'm saying is he should have at least tried to bring in somebody better than a .200 hitter with limited ability in CF once Javy went down. But it is what it is, he couldn't find anyone on the waiver wire. 😅😅
  18. Sure, let’s say. 😉
  19. No, I would build a roster with 6 utility players and allow my manager to play players at multiple positions. Build a team of Zack McKinstrys, playing all over the field. SMH
  20. What if someone is good at baking, but messes up the frosting?
  21. Ok, then who is the starting center fielder is who blocked that Harris is missing by not trading for him, and who should we be trading for him?
  22. Ah, trading for the sake of trading...
  23. Today
  24. whenever I see conversations like this I think back to the caller into the old WDFN days suggesting the Pistons trade Terry Mills and Lindsey Hunter for Chris Webber. That to me is the gold standard of trade ideas.
