Raymond could potentially also do the trick too buy you may have to throw something else in too. The Sens have a nice defenseman group with Sanderson, Cabot, Spence, and Zub. Not sure they would be interested in adding salary of any of the Wings young blue liners. Good point about Larkin’s NTC. I doubt he waives it for Ottawa.

4/25/26 1:00PM Rd1 Gm3 Pistons 1-1 @ Magic 1-1

Duren needs to step up..the only bright spot for him in game three was his activity defending the rim. Orlando took away his offense, forced Cade back into being the TO machine he used to be and made them rely more on options 3and 4. They got into Stew's head and took him out of the game...and where was Holland, no minutes when his shooting showed so much improvement over the last month...esp from 3. Pivotal game in a lot of ways tonight -

lets hope he understands the assignment and cade spends the night at the line. -
raymond is young and prolific, but he's small and now has been injured late in the year multiple times. he's going to carry a lot of value in the league because of his production and his contract, so if you want to pull back a STAR, i think he'd be likely to be in the conversation. what kind of team do you want to be? do you want to be heavy and physical? or small and speedy? i dont think the wings have a plan. or if they do, it hasnt been executed very well, because now theyre not physical, not especially speedy, and not all that skilled. so what are you?
-
they'll start by asking for seider. they MIGHT settle for edvinsson, but seider would be where any trade discussion for tkachuk or matthews begins. what did his brother get traded for? weegar, huberdeau and picks? huberdeau was coming off a 115 point season and weegar was a top 15 defenseman in the league. now, matthew was younger and had bettee scoring numbers than his brother. but the wings dont have a player with the numbers huberdeau had. the closest equivalent is larkin. what about danielson and raymond for tkachuk?

Question: Can Derrick Moore turn into Maxx Crosby 2.0?
1984Echoes replied to 1984Echoes's topic in Detroit Lions
Why are we bringing Reggie White into this conversation? He was a 6'5" 295 # monster of a DE. Both Derrick Moore at 6'4" 255 and Maxx Crosby at 6'5" 255 do NOT resemble him at all. Ridiculous. -

Question: Can Derrick Moore turn into Maxx Crosby 2.0?

Why are we setting our expectations so low? I expect him to turn into Reggie White. -
They know who this guy is and how he's always been. They are in bed with him because they like him, warts and all.

Hopefully, you don't have your 7th casino bankruptcy.

Yeah, if he really goes on the market Ottawa may demand an established top tier player in return I don’t think I’d be willing to give up Edvinsson unless it was part of a package to pry loose an Auston Matthews. And I can’t imagine Stevie even considering trading Larkin, let alone Larkin waiving his NTC. Stevie is backed in the corner. Will be interesting to see how he tries to wriggle out this summer. Buying low on EP40 might be his only option other than waiting for the prospects to develop.

Question: Can Derrick Moore turn into Maxx Crosby 2.0?
Stanley70 replied to 1984Echoes's topic in Detroit Lions
Crosby has been to 5 straight pro-bowls, All Pro 3 times, and received DPOY top ten finishes twice. That is a pretty high bar for Moore. I watched a bunch of Michigan games and i don't think he ever really took over a game like Hutchinson or Graham did. I would expect a maybe 10-12 sack at his peek with decent run defense kind of player. -
Yes, he is easy to manipulate, but I think they really would like him to shut the **** up, so they can perform their corruption quietly.
-
Sure, they'd still be heavy hitters under another administration (at least Amazon and Apple anyway)... but that doesn't mean they don't have a *clear* preference. They clearly do, and they clearly do *care* about it given all the money they have spent on this administration. Your eyes and ears tell you something different perhaps, but I saw Tim Apple go into the The White House and give him that stupid plaque with a 24 karat gold base to appeal to his vanity and ego. And to get policy concessions they wanted. So again, my point stands.
-
I don't think they care that much. They will still drive policy in the United States and make billions one way of the other once he is gone. They always do. I think he is probably easier for them to manipulate, but they can still get what they want.

My "frame rate" perception has slowed down terribly at my age. I can see clearly at a specific distance to my eyes. I used to be 20/20 and never noticed any adjustment from distance to "close-up". But now, it seems like it takes my eyes a minute or two to adjust to a change in depth so distance looks "fuzzy" to me (I'm no longer 20/20), but worse, movement by an object and my eyes cannot adjust quickly enough. I REALLY noticed this 15 years ago when we were playing lunchtime wiffle ball and my eyes were just NOT adjusting to the wiffle ball coming in fast enough to get a good swing. Only at the very last second was the wiffle ball clear enough to me that I could recognize spin, or lack thereof, or anything.

Congress has been disapproved of more than every President in every year that I've been alive. My point still stands. He's widely despised in the broader public, and The Big Club that you speak of, the guys like Bezos and Cook and Musk, would all prefer that he weren't. They would all prefer that we all hold our tongues, withhold any donations, not volunteer, not engage in any political activism, and not vote.
-
Sure, they don't like him, but the disapproval rating of congress is even worse. A lot worse. They don't trust anybody. https://news.gallup.com/poll/1600/congress-public.aspx

Similarly... I believe everyone here has stated that there is no reason to sign any of Greene, Tork, or Carpenter to a second contract. But let's test that theory (and I'll even add in Casey Mize to this little exercize): Said X Player _____ _____ tells the Tigers they are willing to sign a 3-4 year contract at a "hometown discount". Who says no to that: The player (meaning the player will NOT be open to a short hometown discount contract with the Tigers) or the Tigers? We know Skubal is an absolute no to that because he and Boras are single-minded bent on testing the free agent market. But of the following players, who says no to that, the player, the team, and/or the fans? Casey Mize, 3 years below market deal: Who says no: Casey ____ ? Tigers _____ ? Motown Morons ______ ? Kerry Carpenter, 3 years below market deal: Who says no: Kerry ____ ? Tigers _____ ? Motown Morons ______ ? Riley Greene, 4 years below market deal: Who says no: Riley ____ ? Tigers _____ ? Motown Morons ______ ? Torkelson, 3 years below market deal: Who says no: Tork ____ ? Tigers _____ ? Motown Morons ______ ?

I think the public takes it more seriously than you think (he's getting -25 to -30 polls for a reason). But The Big Club wields a big stick in his favor, and they would prefer that all the people who disapprove of this President would all just shut up about it.
-
I think the only deal that could get done would be a straight Captain flip of Larkin for Tkchuck.
