Assuming they get healthy and can get some guys back on minor league splits and get under the tax, in addition to the immense prospect cost I am seeing proposed here, you are also giving the competitive balance draft pick in 2027 as well as moving the comp pick for Skubal (and maybe one for Mize... and doubtful but possibly one for Flaherty) from after the first round to after the fourth. You are also losing the pool money allowing you to spread that money through what many are calling one of the strongest draft classes.

I agree, but Anderson finished the job. Nice to see he's gotten into a groove. We need more runs. Does Vanasco close this one? 28 K's in 15 IP at Toledo If they are going to KJ, I feel like 4 runs is not enough.

If everyone gets healthy again there is no way that Montero should be out of the rotation. Flaherty or Verlander will have to take a back seat. He's earned it now. But the chances of having 6 healthy starters at any point this season is slim.

Hats off to Montero. He really loaded up on first pitch strikes. I’d have let him finish off this inning, but I’m a lump on a couch. What do I know.?

Yep, I’m watching on MLB out here in Oregon. Montero works out of the two on nobody outs jam. The knuckle curve helped.
