  1. Past hour
  2. Every time I see a Virginia Tech game, I think about Estrepe. Every time I think of the White Caps I think about Billy Ringo.
  3. Just noticed many of those free over the air games on Michigan stations are weekday afternoon games. That's a bit lame.
  4. Today
  5. Doesn't matter, cool as hell regardless. Planned/Surprised, either are great stories. I want to know eventually, but i'm good regardless of how the world sees it. Amazing stuff regardless.
  6. Somewhere, lost in all the Noise and Chaos that is the current US government, there now are proposals beginning percolate between the Admin and the Senate, and enough interest that something may yet emerge. They could take some of the issues out the court jurisdiction, possibly rationalize things a bit, or just make it all worse! But in any case, I don't think we need to worry about the current state being the final word for college sports.
  7. once you made it legal, you opened the door to sports obsessed schools with huge, rich alumni to open their pocketbooks. michigan, ohio state, indiana... it was always a benefit to michigan once they got comfortable with the idea. now that they are, you see them winning. with that said, dusty may was the biggest part of that. football has more money than god but couldnt get out of its own way, michigan put together a great team, and then coached them well enough to win. dusty earned that big ol raise he's about to get.
  8. And by the way, Skubal is pitching tomorrow at 7:40 EDT. And yes, it will still be cold probably in the 40° range and with windchill feeling colder than that.
  9. I hate the way the system is, but it's how it is. Dusty May is doing what I pleaded for years for Harbaugh to do. He's doing it the SEC way and finding success because he's a great coach himself. It's really ****ty that this is what college athletics has become, but at least Michigan finally caught up in the NIL era.
  10. Really. The platooning thing is what you do when you’re dealing from a position of weakness. And yes, there’s a methodology backed up by data and I respect that and do not intrinsically dispute it, but wouldn’t it be nice to see several McGonigle type players in the lineup that you don’t have to pull again and again for late inning replacements? That’s probably asking for too much but I would still like it.
  11. I agree and maybe as a team we can graduate from needing to piece together imperfect parts to forming a more standard starting five with a bit less reliance on platooning ?
  12. UConn got them into their game and they still lost...nothing more disheartening than that
  13. Congratulations to your Alma Mater. Well done....even as a 1980 Spartan graduate living in California it's nice for my hometown State to rule the day. Now on to next year again 🙃
  14. 1 HR from their regular infield through 10 games. The lack of power from these guys is disturbing.
  15. Michigan's defense was amazing all tournament long. They smoother everyone and win every lose ball rebound. Their shot blocking is incredible too. They are in position and on the ball like crazy. It was Michigan's defense that got them through the dance and got them a National Championship. One of the best defensive performances in the tourney in recent history. They destroyed Tennessee and Arizona, then kept UConn under wraps for much of this game. Great job by these kids to play shutdown defense all tournament long.
  16. Chris Webber traveled all that way to finally see Michigan win a National Championship. I hope he takes some time out for partying on his trip.
  17. Juwan Howard trying to fist fight a coach was a real low point for this team and here we are now celebrating a Natty!!!
  18. All the scandal and turmoil over the last couple of years in their athletic department, this makes it worth it. Dusty May has run a hell of a program and built a championship program and a college basketball powerhouse!
  19. UConn hung about as tough as you could and still lose. So, is Warde Manuel still a moron for Sharrone Moore or a genius for Dusty May?
  20. I thought the Peacock game came out well. It was more natural for the Benetti and Dirks to engage in conversation, and I think Benetti understood that and tried to keep that from being an issue. I enjoyed the broadcast.
