I only remember that the health risk for letting Eichel pursue the artificial disc replacement was thought to be high at the time - so high that Buffalo's docs refused to approve it. Since it all turned out well maybe there is a tendency to retcon away how much his value may have been affected. I remember reading up about it because I was interested in the medical end. Cervical disc replacement is incredibly difficult surgery, totally bleeding edge at the time - but has been ratified by successes like Eichel since.

That's what I do. Trust me we are 100% in agreement. But the masses don't, and that's what's killing our country right now.

or you just turn them off and choose your own. You don't need to be plugged into anything with an algorithm at the other end if you choose not to be. the algorithms rot your judgement and passive video rots your frontal lobes in general. We are entertaining ourselves into de-evolvolution.

btw, i hope you all are right about larkin's value! i still think the most logical trade partner is utah. sounds like we could get something done with them which would be great. we wouldnt deal edvinsson for hughes but we might for misa or #2 pick? interesting...

i cant believe people think larkin is equal in value to 24 year old jack eichel. eichel coming off experimental surgery and not being able to play for half the season is about equal to prime/healthy dylan larkin. that's why were saying stevie will likely get a first, a prospect, and some young roster filler third liner. and that would be fine value for larkin. look, if san jose is insane enough to give us the #2 pick in a good draft for dylan larkin, you take it. if they offer misa for larkin, you say yes before they finish the sentence. larkin is 30 and at the end of his prime. youre not going to get as much for that as you would for a younger player with superstar potential. the one advantage you have is that he has term at a great nunber. debrincat is 28 and getting toward the end of his prime. he has one year left on his contract. he is a good scoring winger. he is NOT quinn hughes and wont bring back what hughes brought back. and if he signs an extension it will be for big bucks. as a one year rental? he aint fetching the #2 pick in the ****ing draft.

When most media is algorithm fed, it's not quite so cut-and-dry.

It’ll be 76° and sunny at game time. And two pitchers going against each other with 1–7 W/L records. -
my god, i wonder what you guys think mcdavid would get on the trade market...

And if the return on Larkin is not good, it's just more purgatory for Wing's fans.
-
Plenty of blame to go around. No winners in the Wings organization on or off the ice the past decade. Everyone is tarnished by it.
-
Old friend alert! I'm honestly getting very excited about Detroit's PWHL team. Manon Rhéaume is building a very interesting franchise for their inception.
-
I do question how Larkin is going to age when his best asset is his speed, but he is still going to be in high demand. I just personally don't see it as 2nd overall type stuff, but hey I'll be very happy to be wrong.

30 year old who has patiently waited for his GM to build better roster
-
30 years old but with minimal playoff experience and begs for a trade from a team that has faded down the stretch year after year will be valued somewhat differently than a 30 year old warrior who has led his team to playoff series wins.

they're morons for their choices in media?
-
They are responding to what their media is telling them.
-
Are you implying four defensive replacements who can hit better than Zack Short?
-
lol, “we want the point” chant broke out in final 5 minutes on Vancouver’s Granville St. 1-1 final, Canada’s first ever point at the World Cup.

BC he hit a homerun off a position player yesterday 🙄 -
He'll be there tonight. His OPS is 1000 for June. Maybe he'll go on another bender like he did 1st half last season..
