  1. Past hour
  2. Lol calm down. I grew up in Toledo, have spent my whole life going to Michigan, love it up there!
  3. Pitchbot worthy
  4. Draft four All-Pro caliber players in one draft and it's only an A-.
  5. We need an entirely new media.
  6. Because I think grading any draft before 3 years is absolutely pointless, let's look back Round 1 - Jahmyr Gibbs - A+. Raised a lot of eyebrows at the time, didn't it? Round 1 - Jack Campbell - A+ Yeah, it took a little longer to come together, but he's their Chris Spielman. Round 2 - Sam LaPorta - A+ Dude's a game-changer. Could not have predicted the injury Round 2 - Brian Branch - A+ A game-changer from his very first game. Again, can't count injuries against them Round 3- Hendon Hooker - F. It was a very puzzling pick. I understand wanting to take the next QB, but he was never going to be the next QB and they couldn't use him. Round 3 - Brodric Martin - F. He played in only 6 games and did not make an imipact Round 5 - Colby Sorsdal - OL D At least they got a little use out of him. He was a 5th rounder, after all Round 7 - Antoine Green - F. Even for a 7th rounder - a 1-catch for 2 yard career isn't much I give this an A-. The Top Half was absolutely an A+. Four players that could be major pieces for a Super Bowl run. Those four picks were so strong that the failure of round 3 still keeps it in the A range for me. But that 3rd round, yikes. Get average 3rd round performances out of those two picks and maybe they actully would have won a Super Bowl. Depth players that could have come in handy in these last two injury-littered seasons. Injuries have derailed a couple of those A+ guys, hopefully only temporarily.
  7. Today
  8. His stretch between 2005-2007 was pretty good: ERA+ 112 124 124 WAR 4.5 5.3 6.0
  9. Lol at people who think this absolute **** annual event would/should be held, let alone held at the white house in a new ballroom Plot totally lost
  10. They both (this one and the one in Butler) looked fake, and if any administration was going to do two fake assassination attempts, it would be this one, but I don't think they were staged. A staged assassination attempt requires too many people to be on board and I think somebody would leak it. Someone got killed in the first one and don't think they would be able to get everyone on board with murder. Nobody got killed in this one (not yet), but I still don't believe everyone would be on board.
  11. Per bbref, Aaron Harang’s top similarity score match is Randy Wolf. So when are we going to see a Wolf statue at Commercial Park?
  12. The purported gunman may well have been just a guy. In which case, he is a symptom of the powerlessness of our citizens in a democracy when "those people" or "the man" control all aspects of the system: the three branches of government and the media 4th estate and now the meta layer of data manipulation. It all serves a crust that definitely does not care about the well-being of its citizens and only cares about its own power. Well, that's not great. The other case is that he's actually part of the manipulation of the system. That would be worse.
  13. Just because the effectiveness of such a tactic might have lost its edge in particular circumstances doesn’t mean a largely incompetent and unstudious regime, looking for any edge to change the conversation and increase their popularity through any means, including through orchestrated sympathy, won’t continue to try it. In any event, we now are talking about this event, which was weirdly under enough control to allow them to keep the president in the building for almost an hour after the noise, and not about something else. I would just say we might keep our eyes peeled for something really horrific that’s going under the radar while we continue to focus on this.
  14. The Hinch to Boston thing makes sense when you consider he was there just last weekend.
  15. It all comes from the same person
  16. I am very cynical with all this crap. That AI asking for your name and address - it's recording your voice and I think there is the STRONG possibility that somewhere down the line the recording of your voice will be used to get you into something you never agreed to do. "Well, we've got a recording of you giving your info for this.......". Sure, it would be foolish for major companies to do this, but look what Wells Fargo did with customer information. Opened millions of fake accounts. They got busted. Paid a fine (which was far less than what they probably gained in the scam) and then they DID IT AGAIN. only using info from people who weren't their own customers. Gee, wonder where they got that info? Wells Fargo shouldn't be allowed to exist anymore, yet people still kneel to them. I'm just so beaten down by all of it. I just don't get why there is so much dishonesty and scumbaggery in this world and especially in this country (because the wealthy NEVER get punished in the USA). We've reached a point where dishonesty is celebrated and when you just live your life in relative honesty and with relative integrity, YOU are the one that's the outsider. A.I. is only going to accelerate it all.
  17. Wait, why is the idea of Hinch leaving the Tigers and going to Boston showing up in multiple threads all of a sudden? I do a search on the idea and there is zero coming up about it. Where is this chatter originating?
  18. Even with a Tigers win today, looks like this 1940 World Series grudge match goes to the Reds.
  19. Are you more like afraid A.J. Is going to quit his multi-year contract and leave his two-time playoff team well into fulfilling its plans to become a perennial contender, with some of the best young players in the game due to join the roster in the next few years? Or are you more like hoping A.J. is going to leave?
  20. I can accept the idea that the Reds were so bad during that era that they had to somehow identify the tallest midget to honor, but if it was the steroids era’s fault that they had no choice but to honor a four-plus ERA, at least his ERA+ would be closer to 115 or 120 than 103.
  21. But even if this were the case, to what end? This will likely be forgotten in a week or two, just as Charlie Kirk was forgotten within a week or two for the vast majority of people. As Viktor Orban learned a few weeks ago, the playbook starts to lose its effectiveness when people are pissed about their material conditions

The only two I can ever remember is that UK is 44 and Canada is 1. I also did not realize that Greenland is in Africa. 😉
