  1. Disclaimer...I am not a guitar guy. That said, I thought this was pretty cool. My daughter has been making noise about wanting a guitar for quite some time. Tonight we were over at a family friend's house and "Uncle" Adam is the owner of eight guitars and had been discussing his most recent purchase and his need to get rid of a couple older ones. My daughter randomly came upstairs and started talking about her desire to get a guitar....then "Uncle" Adam appears from the back room with a guitar and offers it to her as her first....it was his first that he bought when he was 15 years old. Such a cool, cool moment. My nine-year old daughter was speechless, sat down and started her best strumming, then hugged her "Uncle"....amazing.

  2. For me, Campbell gets the rest of the year, and any fewer than five wins gets him fired. I wanted him to succeed not only because it's the Lions, but because I genuinely like the dude. But this is no different than any other regime we've had in my lifetime, and I'm sick of it. Just win, baby.

  3. agree. campbell is not the problem. the problems are 1) quinn left the team with no talent on defense; 2) jared goff is your qb; 3) the team is very injured. campbell may not be the SOLUTION, but he is not "the problem." look at the giants. they have a crappy qb, but they have saquon. when saquon is healthy they have a chance. when he's not, they won 4 games. swift being hurt kills them. the real depressing thing is that they'll be this team next year too. they'll draft a qb #1 and he'll either suck or sit next year. it'll be another two years before they'll have a chance.

  4. I'm right. It's rare that it happens, but this team is predictable. Just like predicting they'd shit the bed vs. Seattle when everyone was already counting it as a win. "We just need to clean it up".....................Turn that into a drinking game and flood the ER with Alcohol Poisoning victims.

  5. positives: hutchinson looked much better this week. he beat people one on one and not because they schemed pressure. okudah made some nice tackles at the line. glenn schemed them pretty well for most of the game. negatives: refs did their usual thing of giving dallas extra plays and hurting the other team. that's to be expected in dallas. goff is terrible again. everyone is hurt again. the lions need someone to shadow swift and make sure he doesnt go to the beach this week, lest he get some more sand in his vagina. williams' fumble is the most same ol lions thing ever. i still like dan campbell, but he's in "lose the team" territory now. second year in a row they're the worst team in the league. guys may start quitting soon.

  6. dallas is the #1 defense in the league and the lions are playing with practice squad wrs and backup running backs. the fact that they did what they did to seattle was a miracle.

  7. Elliot hyper extends his knee, comes back, scores a TD. Swift twists an ankle and is out weeks.

  8. This game was peak SOL, on so many levels. Holmbell now 4-18 and zero wins on the road. I know it's a rebuild but they aren't any better off with these guys it appears and yes, I get that there are some injuries but every NFL teams suffers injuries.

  10. Winning any more games for the lions would be a detriment. Get the first pick and get Goff the fuck outta Detroit.

  13. When the refs got together and realized it would be a 1st down for Detroit, they were required to pick it up.

  15. LOL - I see there is an 'n' missing in the post. Was supposed to read 'never', not 'ever'!

  16. Going with a parlay today... Jerry Jones' suite shown on FOX +5.5 times Refs Inventing New Rules against Lions +1.5 rules Mike Pereira justifying this rule somehow -110 Tony Romo fanboying over the Cowboys +3 instances Lions win toss and receive +120

  17. I like this but it’s missing refs throw a flag for an obvious roughing the kicker on the punt by Fox and then decide to pick it up because the Dallas crowd was booing.

  19. LOL - maybe Harbaugh can finally re-establish a good run against them but it's been too many years since it was safe to make any assumptions about MSU day.

  22. This needs to happen every time the pukes hold these events.

  23. both things can be true: 1) the lions have signed free agents to be stop gaps in the rebuilding process; and 2) those signings have been failures.

  24. I have no idea what to expect. The only thing I’m confident about predicting is there will be multiple horrible calls that go against the Lions.

  25. I had a chance to look this over. Chart porn incoming. I'll start with this one from before. I have now done the math. If you were looking to get into this trade on Tuesday, what price will you get? The first issue is we are looking at the S&P 500 and not the SPY ETF as the means to make the trade. We can't buy the S&P. I'm looking to trade off the 3588.11 level, to the lower end of the gap at 3739.22. Around a 4% yield if you get the breaks. That in and of itself isn't very tempting. We are looking at the S&P to give us buy/sell points, which would look like this if we bought out of the gate on Tuesday; The problem is - we are not, and can't, buy the S&P, so we have to use an ETF. In this case, SPY. A derivative of the index. Below is a chart with the same buy/sell point except it is a chart of the ETF. I based the values on a buy in point on Tuesday, and the low of the day the gap would close on 10/6. Buy at $357.04 with a gap close of $371 ish. So you might make $400 bucks on a 10 grand trade. The SPY chart; Hard to see anything here, which is why I prefer to use the index for timing instead of the ETF. We knew enough on Monday to not make this trade. Some of the best trades ever, are the ones you don't make.
