  1. I think today’s group of BBWAA voters put in both Lou and Tram.

  2. I wouldn't be opposed to bring in Brady if the price was right. I mean, it would certainly solve the issue of back up QB for us.

  4. I'd probably prefer Joey Porter Jr. given his size, insane arm length, and ball skills. But if we went Edge/Corner I'd be very happy with that.

  5. There were a lot of grumblings that athletics alums and donors wanted him out, but he still had the support of the school and the administration (whose priorities are everything but wins). I got the sense that the resignation was on his own, with a lot of writing on the wall. He may have gotten one more year if he hadn’t resigned, but I don’t think it was guaranteed. The program wasn’t about to magically turn around under Shaw in 2023.

  6. That's good stuff. You know, that brings something up that I think sometimes gets forgotten about these nominations/inductions. The families of the award winners, the parents in particular. All of the time logged with Rolen when he was a kid, just tossing the ball around in the yard, or even coaching, or transporting, or supporting through the tough times, and now that has all ultimately culminated in this honor. Hopefully they get to share in the festivities at Cooperstown.

  7. Rumors circling that former Stanford coach David Shaw may really get the Broncos job. This is truly amazing since his only real qualification is that he coached at Stanford and the new Denver ownership groups are alums. He was 14-28 in his last 4 seasons prior to resigning. I don’t believe any of the other NFL openings even had him on their initial interview list.

  8. Speaking of SJ, Timo Meier is a terrific young winger that is also probably available on the market. He’s not a C but still someone the Wings should have some interest in.

  9. We just went through the whole Levi situation, so I am quite a bit shy about taking a DT with injury problems, who doesn't play full seasons, anywhere above the 4th round. I would pass on Breese.

  13. This is just Pence who wasn't raided like Biden and doesn't have a special counsel investigating, trying to distract from the GOPs earned benefits cuts to Social Security and Medicare, as well as the GOPs 30% national sales tax shit policy

  14. I think Rolen and Whitaker are pretty similar. Very good for a long time, but never superstars. Rolen did have 9.2 WAR in 2004, but it was driven, in part, by a huge defensive year which may have been a fluke. I am also surprised he got in, because he is not the type of player the BBWAA usually notices.

  18. If he doesn’t attempt to block, it’s still a dunk. It also would give Minnesota the sense that the rim is unprotected. So, yup, Senguin is doing what needs to be done.
