Yeah it isn't much but depending on the shoes you could get .5 to inch taller than a different pair. Also I don't think alot of people know but your height can decrease by .5 to 3/4 of an inch from the time you wake up till the time you go to bed due to gravity compacting your spine. That number is for an average height person for people like basketball players that are well over 6' it could be more drastic so if you get measured early in the morning vs. late afternoon it can make a difference as well.

I would assume they are working on something which might not show up in the stats. I think minor league stats show potential, but not necessarily readiness. Also the difference between AA and AAA is not that big, The biggest minors jump is supposedly from A to AA. And then the jump from AAA to the majors is huge. Another possibility is they might be waiting for his arm to get strong again before moving him.

Holy crap that pitch to end the game was one of the nastiest I ever seen. Started off in the middle of the plate only to disappear inside near the end....at 103MPH!! How and the hell do you hit that?

Then they should measure them all in shoes. But they don't. Because shoe heights vary so it's not an accurate comparison. Scoot isn't suddenly 2" closer in height to all these other guards because we decided that he's the only one we're going to talk about in shoes to fit our narrative.

He certainly seems ready looking at the stats and as fans we want to see the guys get moved up but it's not unusual what the Tigers are doing if you look at other organizations. There are plenty of top tier prospects playing at below AAA level despite having gaudy stats, maybe not as gaudy's as Keiths but still good enough where you would think they'd be at a higher level.

At the same time, when the pitching allows only 1 leadoff home run to score and spreads out & strands 6 other hits, 1 walk, to go with 10 strikeouts, and the defense handles its chores well (of course Baez dive and flip from his knees for an out gets the eyeballs, but plays such as Holton completing the double play with great feetwork at 1B after crisp throws from Torkelson & Baez), the game needs to be taken.

The Tigers failing to develop any real home grown talent is what put them where we've been for nearly a decade now. Yeah we can bitch about the contracts, horrible trades etc. but the bottom line is if we even developed 2 or 3 legit plus players in the 2010s things would probably look and played out alot different.

I think it is borderline cruel for the governing body of collegiate athletics to celebrate someone’s mistake like this. If the guy had hit a legit homer that would have been all right, but this? Not cool imho
