  2. I also heard his dad worked at Ikea for 30 years and they named an ottoman after him for his distinguished service.

  3. Would it be too much for the press to keep asking this question of the guy, particularly if he does end up walking away with the gavel? Or would it be too much to risk their "access"?

  4. Cool story, Andrew Saalfrank went to my kids Lutheran school in New Haven, IN. In 8th grade his basketball team went to the Lutheran national final four, lost in championship game. He was an assistant coach for my son's basketball team two years ago when they finished runner up in the state championship. Still comes to our little church when he is back in town.

  8. All the horrible loss did was calm everyone down about where their ranking was in the rest of the league. Baltimore could lose to Arizona this weekend. It doesn't mean were worse than Arizona, it just means that sometimes its a bad weekend or you have bad matchups with injuries and so forth. I don't think anyone thought the Lions were worse than Carolina last year but that game was almost worst than this loss. How bad they lost definitely should make the team concerned about some of their weaknesses. To me they are where you want a team to be in a 3 year of a major rebuild. You want to be a playoff team with a chance to be better. You have a great core of young players. You built really good offensive and defensive lines. They do not have generational QB so you will need to keep on drafting good and make good decisions in FA and trades. If you want to compete for a long time. With great drafting after round 1 makes it where a team can afford to make mistakes on first rounders. That is the difference with this team and past teams. Past teams rarely had top level talent after round 1. Past teams couldn't afford to miss on Carter. Or make the mistake with Jaymo.

  9. He has logged a total of 8 regular season games and now 10 playoff games without giving up a run. The local Mc D's have named a booth after him.

  10. This still has to pass Turkey's legislature and then... Hungary is still playing ****ing games with this and they also have not passed Sweden's admission through their legislation. Their government says yes, their legislature says... nothing, so far. Proposal: Hungary's authoritarianism and still-boot-licking of Russia/ Putin is also vexing NATO and the EU... so, solution: England/ Germany/ US (whomever) propose to kick Hungary out of NATO and add Sweden. Hungary can not vote on getting kicked out of NATO so only all other countries aside from them can vote on this measure. I don't think this measure would even need to come to a vote as I think the Proposal itself will move Hungary off their asses and do a swift approval of Sweden's accession into NATO. However, if it actually did come to a vote anyways, I wouldn't be opposed to holding that vote, nor would I cry over Hungary's expulsion. The reality is that Poland and Turkey would vote to NOT expel Hungary... but I think even HAVING this vote would send a HUGE message(s) to everyone in NATO: Quit ****ing around with Putin. Quit ****ing around with anti-democratic authoritarianism. And get your ****ing priorities straight. Just my 2 cents.

  16. The NHL will spend 10 minutes reviewing a call that might be offside by half an inch but a dude blatantly throws his stick at the puck to prevent a scoring chance and not a peep from the officials.

  22. AL Wild card home teams were 2-2. AL division series home teams were 2-5. AL championship series home teams were ....0-7? Texas might want to look into being the road team for the entire World Series. For the playoffs they're undefeated on the road (8-0) and blemished at home (1-3) if I an looking at this correctly.

  24. There is no country on the planet that would not respond with overwhelming force, if its citizens suffered what Hamas did to Israeli civilians. Absolutely barbaric war crimes. I am not including the heartbreaking graphic details found in the link, and I am not sure that is the correct answer.
