  1. I don't think you have even a single thing to worry about here.

  2. Ruby Franke going to prison. She won't be taped to a chair, however, like she did to her children. Because that's what Joseph Smith would do? Another right-wing "family values" Republican. **** that whole party and **** Alabama again. Yes, I have lost friends over them being Trump supporters. I find those people absolutely poisonous and I don't want them anywhere in my life.

  3. I don't think he does either. He's not enough of a high motor, try hard guy and takes too many plays off for this regime to take a chance on him.

  4. You're awesome, I don't care what the rest of these people say about you.

  5. These are also the same people who want to go to single-day voting with paper-only ballots that are hand-counted only which, I guess, is more secure?

  6. I kind of approach all of these cases, both the civil and criminal, from the view that committed Trump supporters aren't going to be persuaded by any of them. For what it's worth.

  8. I know Ras is a center, but I still think the obvious best match for the Wings is for him to be playing next to Larkin. Put Debrincat with his buddy Kane (and Compher) and play the other main line as Ras, Larkin and Raymond. The latter would give you combination of guile, playmaking, speed, shooting and *physicality* that would optimize all three of those talents. Larkin and Raymond both need to be out there with a big body to manage the chronic head hunting they otherwise are faced with and Ras is going to be be able to leverage his ability to command space better with playing with a great passer. It's not exactly Messier/Gretsky but that's a sound concept that has held in the NHL for a long time.

  9. Ku Kahil dropped a show today talking about the misuse of Ausar in this offense. Basically discussing the (false) idea that you always need 4 shooters on the court. He mostly referenced a lot of JJ Redick's info, so I'll post one of JJ's pods below where he talks about this concept in reference to how Willie Green is using Zion and even how Ben Simmons was used when JJ played with him. On a previous pod he talked about this concept using some of the actions that Quin Snyder runs in Atlanta. And, of course, you've all heard me talk about how the Warriors use Draymond and Looney together with the other three guys running off-ball screens to free up shooters and otherwise bend the defense. Nobody is saying that this core has the talent level of some of those other teams, but every time you see Ausar standing in the corner and the Pistons playing 4 on 5 offense, that's on Monty. The only thing worse than his lineups are his offensive sets and lack of creativity.

  11. What I meant is that New York state has more resources than Trump and won't be bullied like a small business. They can keep fighting him. At the very least, Trump is going to spend the rest of his life paying lawyers.

  12. I'm seeing sales of that card on eBay (under "sold listings") that look like they're in about the same condition from $70 to $125. I'm not certain what your card would grade... I see a PSA 7 that went (what people are willing to pay is a good indicator of what you can actually "realize" in a sale...) for $98 and one for $150. A PSA 8 for $325. And I see some BGS and SGC 9's listed from $890 to $3,500 but: (A) I don't think they'll get that. And (B) It looks like your card has a tiny bit of wear on the lower left hand corner? You won't get a 9 out of that. Wild guess is a 7 or so but I'm not a professional grader so do NOT rely on me for that...

  13. I collected cards from 88-93 (hello junk wax era!), and when going through some cards in my parents’ basement a few years back, discovered I had this. It seems like it’s in great shape. I want to send it off to get graded, but I have no idea what I’m doing with that.

  15. Anyone interested in the early 1900's Ty Cobb era... No I don't have a T-206 Cobb (I would love to get a good deal on one of his cards but impossible to do because he gets OODLES of attention any time a card of his pops up...); but HOF'ers or near-HOF'ers that I do have from the T-206 set are: Frank Chance, Jack Chesbro, Fred Clarke, Miller Huggins, Hughie Jennings (Detroit), Walter Johnson, Rube Marquard, John McGraw, Tris Speaker, Rube Waddell, Zach Wheat, Vic Willis. From Detroit I've got (aside from Jennings): Davy Jones, Ed Killian, George Mullin, Charley O'Leary, Ed Willetts.

  17. I have no idea how many complete sets I have... but quite a few. Unlike most... after my dad got me into collecting by buying me a complete 1974 Topps set... I went old school. I just loved the older cards. A few complete sets (and I collect only ExMt-NrMt or better grade... hard to do... but eBay has been a bonanza for people just dumping cards and being able to find good deals), and only baseball unless otherwise noted: 1951 Topps Red Backs. 1956 Topps Football. 1959, 1960, 1961 and 1963 Fleer sets. 1962 Post Cereal set. 1953 Johnston Cookies (Braves only, with Spahn and Eddie Mathews) 1964 Topps. 1969-1976 Topps. 1964 Auravision Records (7x7 33's with Kaline & Mantle, etc..,) 1953 Bowman Black & White 1953 Bowman Color (actually I'm missing Mantle, Berra, and a card with Mantle Berra & Bauer) I'm close to complete sets (missing key cards) with: 1939, 1940, and 1941 Playball. 1948 and 1949 Bowman. 1952 to 1963 Topps (range from 2 to 14 cards still needed, except the 52's with about 44 missing). 1951 Topps Blue Backs. 1966 Topps 1964 Topps Stand Ups 1964 Wheaties Stamps 1954 Red Heart Dog Food 1952 Num Num Potato Chips (only Indians... and I've got the Feller card). All with tabs (much less without tabs...) 1955 Red Man Tobacco 1939 Goudey Premiums, B set (I've got Joe DiMaggio, but missing Jimmy Foxx and a couple others...). I have about 200 different T-206's (tobacco cards from 1909-1911). Errr... I'm a bit of a collector.

  18. I have a lot of cards from the late 60s and 70s which is when I collected. We played all kinds of games with them and they are all hacked up. Thus, they are worth nothing, but their poor condotion is what gives them character! I wouldn't sell them anyway. Too many memories.

  19. Those sneakers really clash with the MAGA hats. No self respecting MAGA would be caught dead or alive wearing that combination of gold and scarlet. It definitely clashes with the orange bronzer. But there are no self respecting MAGAs

  20. Crazily enough, the UN confirms that Israel has the LOWEST number of civilian casualties in an urban warfare environment per normal urban warfare expectations: (IE: UN expectation in urban warfare is 9-1 ration loss of civilians to military. Israel's ratio is approximately 2-1 civilians killed to military... in Gaza's urban settings...): https://www.yahoo.com/news/weve-got-stop-believing-hamas-145119252.html Opinion We’ve got to stop believing Hamas’ lies about civilian deaths in Gaza Isaac Schorr Mon, February 19, 2024 "... as a military historian – less than 2:1 is an astonishingly low ratio for modern urban warfare where the terrorists routinely use civilians as human shields. It is a testament to the professionalism, ethics and values of the Israel Defense Forces.” The UN, indeed, despite its constant criticism of Israel, has assessed that a more normal ratio in urban combat would be 9:1.
