  1. I told you CDs would never last.
  2. I think the innings are getting to him (in my completely unqualified opinion). Seems plausible that he's just not used to this kind of workload. I would be interested in the Tigers bringing him back next season. If his public farewell was sincere about his time in Detroit, bring him back. There can be room for him in the rotation.
  3. 6 games in Los Angeles and 4 at Oakland followed by 3 vs Kansas City and 3 vs Cleveland. The trip along the Pacific has me taking below 75. I realize that, aside from the Dodgers, these final series are against comparable or worse records. But I don't think the road trip is going to go well.
  4. Detroit Tigers vs Los Angeles Angels Watch: Angels - Bally Sports West, Tigers - Bally Sports Detroit Listen: Angels - KLAA 830, KWKW 1330, Tigers - 97.1 The Ticket
  5. I’ve listened to this approximately 4,832 times. One of his older albums hit top ten status last week. I think I’ve bumped this single up a notch or two myself.
  6. Been on Buffett overload ever since. I think yesterday at the gym was the first nonBuffett music I’ve turned on since his passing. His Sirius channel which plays numerous other artists has been exclusively Buffett, too.
  7. 8 correct after that whiff. And of course Edwin Jackson could have helped me today. Oh, so stupid,
  8. Daggumit! Jake Cronenworth never played for Tampa, only in their minors. And of course, that was the first box I went for.
  9. While no one should blame Meyer for leaving BGSU for Utah, it was the "professional" manner in which he did so with respect to the athletic department that was bush league. Clawson is a good suggestion.
  10. Pfffft.... As if we know what the conference will look like in two years...
  11. Tough to know exactly what he say/thought in the moment. My thought was why didn't he hurdle the guardrail, but again, its more instinct than thought at the point. He might have forgotten that there was a guardrail to begin with.
  12. I'm worried I'll wake up one day with a 100 MPH heater and pinpoint pitching precision to match.
  13. Cincinnati Reds vs Detroit Tigers Watch: Tigers - Bally Sports Detroit, Reds - Bally Sports Ohio, National - MLBN (out-of-market only) Listen: Tigers - 97.1 The Ticket, Reds - WLW 700
  14. I think this might be my worst. Just couldn’t come up with much of anything. Edwin Jackson and Octavio Dotel couldn’t help me.
  15. Your rarity score was 7? I had a cruddy day and got a 5. A whole 5 right answers.
  16. Damnit. Kelly cut down de la Cruz on a steak attempt but McKinstry couldn’t hold onto the ball.
  17. The rule 5 is a good point. I thought Both Malloy and Keith would need to be added prior to this upcoming rule 5 anyway, but I might be wrong about that.
  18. Ideally Harris is able to eventually put together a team with 5 or 6 bona fide full time (offense & defense) position players and a solid catching combo. That leaves the DH role for days off from the field as you've mentioned and a couple of defensive spots that can be mixed & matched. If we can assume the bats in the upper minor mature, that's great, but it also fields a lot of questionable defense. That balance might be enough to get into playoff contention, especially in a weak division, but I'm not sure its a really cohesive and balanced team. So, yeah, Atlanta is in the prime of going for a title right now. That makes a prospect available for trade. And then when the defensive reputation is as poor as his is, that makes the bat more available as well. It explains why that OPS was available for one season of Jimenez. Fortunately the OPS remains, but where does that go from here? Can a daily team defense of (pick 4) Torkelson, Jung, Keith, Malloy, and Carpenter be offset by Greene, Meadows, and Baez? Seems doubtful. Some moves are going to have to be made.
  19. Hmmmm.... Hey Fetter, want an offseason project?
  20. I'm not sure about these two. It might happen, but I'm not sure Harris' track record this season suggests promoting them. Jung has all of 200 PAs at AA. I think if Keith couldn't get promoted this season with the offensive line he is putting up and what seems to be similar defensive "capabilities", its a pretty easy copy & paste to Jung. As for Keith, if he were a serious candidate for next season, why wouldn't they have promoted him for September in lieu of a non entity like Ibanez? And I guess the same could be said for Malloy, why not he rather than Nevin in September? I suppose there's still time to promote them, but what are we doing here? Playing time? Who is blocking them at 2B and 3B in Detroit now?

  22. And thrown it better.
  23. I didn’t mean to infer Bogdanovich as a spot up shooter. I agree with you that his offensive workload should drop this season (if he sticks around). I wonder if they could move he and Bagley for something of use?
  24. When I think of David Wells, I’m not sure how to order cerebral, sober, and athletic to describe him.
