    Oh, "Acker" can be replaced with "Ohio State" or any other person/institution in charge that wants to publicly bemoan what is going on but probably offers no resistance in the meetings/conversations that matter.

    When the astute players' only broadcast is critical of mental errors (outfielders not throwing to stop back runners from picking up another 90 feet, running through base signs, trying to create a double play where there isn't one and then getting no outs, etc.), .... it ain't good.

    Keith seems to be playing more 2B in Toledo than he did in Erie.

    Another good showing at 3B on Sunday. Cut a ball off glove side pretty well with a dive and got the runner out at 1B on a close play. I'm not sure if the SS would have been able to make that play, it looked like Short would have gloved it without a dive, but deeper in the hole and with momentum not going into the throw towards 1B. Kind of a rare good Tiger defensive play this weekend vs Tampa.

    Did Michigan (or any other team in the Big Ten that now wants to pretend hand wring) vote to accept Washington & Oregon? USC & UCLA? Rutgers & Maryland?

    Losing 2 of 3 to the Rays is one thing, but there was quite a bit of sloppiness this series. That was discouraging.

    I flubbed names today. I could picture the Brewer / White Sox player, knew his primary position, his uniform number, how he thrived going from one team to another. Got the first name right and accidentally typed in a teammate’s last name. D’OH!

    Bigbie was old for A and about median for AA. I would think a promotion to AAA soon would be reasonable given his success and age this season. A cursory look at his digits and he's hit vs everybody all season. I suppose he's had a few hitless games. But the thing that I wanted to see was his split vs pitcher age. It appears he's hit vs older and younger pitchers.

    I think Maton at 3B lasted too long. He’s obviously struggled offensively. But I (in my completely uneducated opinion) think he lacked the quick twitch to handle 3B.

    It doesn’t even feel like it should be August already. But I am very intrigued about this upcoming season. This franchise needs a healthy dose of actual on court optimism.

    I know the roster flexibility has been criticized here. But I’m for it with the right ball players. It’s not for everybody, and that’s fine. But maybe Vierling is a ball player that can handle it.

    What, put Maton out there?😆 I think I want to see this experiment a bit more. It allows for Baddoo, Greene, and Carpenter to all play on days that Cabrera is hitting. And he’s been hitting lately, so why not?

    Rozema kind of dig into this a bit, too. But it was short lived. I wonder if the truck had his ear. And they showed Skubal’s reaction, too.

    You know, there were times that Jones was trying to redirect the conversation to game strategy today. Gibson has done this before, back to when he was broadcasting with Joshy. Petry and Monroe have tried this before during the player broadcasts, too. There just isn’t enough of it. The conversation breaks down into something else like a squirrel just ran by a dog.
