  1. Detroit Tigers (51-85) at Los Angeles Angels (60-76)
  2. Lester gets a start. Seems telling that Clemens isn’t getting much playing time these days. Candelario sits another game. Good grief, this season sucks so much.
  3. Ain't gonna lie, I saw it as a synonym and figured it was worth a use.
  4. Kody is a poor, destitute, impoverished, impecunious man's Ohtani.
  5. Not much of a bat resume.
  6. Detroit Tigers (51-84) at Los Angeles Angels (59-76)
  7. I think the post was meant to be somewhat sarcastic?
  8. Hutchison has definitely done an admirable job of filling a pitching hole for the Tigers this season. He’s probably best suited for long relief, which, I know, we cannot have RPs pitch more than an inning these days.
  9. MLB doesn’t care about Labor Day. In previous seasons, they didn’t care if teams were playing or had an off day. Make your own assumptions why. On the bright side, for the teams that are playing, at least they aren’t wearing the trash jerseys that MLB likes to pump out there for other days.
  10. Yeah, you're right, I had forgotten about the 1st down and time stops for moving the change. I guess I'm still trying to get the brain into football mode.
  11. Detroit Tigers (51-83) at Los Angeles Angels (58-76)
  12. The way that got swept under the rug by the holy Notre Dame is disgusting.
  13. No way the Tigers will sign Ordonez, Rodriguez, and Rogers. Oh, wait, that happened, didn’t it?
  14. So what do they do? Just sit on their cash and hope that Al Avila’s farm system suddenly pumps prospects up to the major league? I got news for you, ain’t happening.
  15. I like the Wilmer Flores for 3B suggestion.
  16. LSU was gifted that final play. The clock should have run out the play before. F Brian Kelly. That guy is as much of a scum as Urban Meyer.
  17. He will not be including today on his resume video.
  18. I tend to agree. If they could attached a qualifier for the 2nd season, that might be different. Speaking of Candelario, poor defense allows the lead run to score. Is he reading this forum during the game?
  19. I’m all for adding value to players by having them play other positions. Its just tough to see how his career sub .700 minor league OPS will do anything for the Tigers in the majors.
  20. So, just throwing out numbers, say he’s looking at $7M for next season via arb. By more favorable, I assume you mean from the perspective of the Tigers? So something like, I don’t know, 2/$12M with incentives attached?
  21. Sanchez is probably playing 1B because that position was previously handled by Torkelson and Lester, both of whom are with Detroit now.
  22. I can’t see signing him to a multi year deal, but it all depends upon the language of the contract. Even if he has a good 2023, he has an inconsistent track record. So how many teams would look to sign him to a longer deal? Right now, I would imagine a nominal 2 year guaranteed deal would be tough for him to find.
