  1. Either way, it’s a lower body injury in hockey.
  2. Clearly they are showcasing Kreidler to Arizona for Suarez.
  3. I liked him as an option last offseason. Imagine him rather than Maeda?
  4. In the opinion of the right (ie, whoever can authorize that deal) people he has.
  5. $21 M for 1.8 WAR. I’m not sure what they see in him, but I suppose it’s low risk for now.
  6. Don’t underestimate carry out, delivery, or dine in.
  7. Clearly your sacrifice was to our benefit. Bless you, good sir.
  8. If the Dems let it go because Clinton or some other big name is on the list, then shame on them. And it goes to show both sides as morally bankrupt.
  9. I agree, I don't think he'll be forced to deal with the consequences for his actions. Best case scenario is more within his base finally figure out who he truly is rather than continuously falling for whatever false imagery they have about him.
  10. I don't necessarily disagree with the overall tone. I'm just not sure how fair it is to lump the second half of last season in when explaining this team. They had 2 SPs for a large part of that back half, a fantastic bullpen, and relied on pitching chaos. This year is a pretty significant difference in that aspect. Heck, just looking at Flaherty alone is a contradiction of success over 140 vs the last 11 or 15 or whatever. But they're not the best team in the league as they were for the 1st 3 months of this season. They're not the worst team in the league as they have shown in the last two weeks. They're somewhere in between, and simply going through a slump right now.
  11. Pitching chaos was fun last year. Certainly not a sustainable strategy. I think we now know why Flaherty couldn’t find the deal he was looking for. Kudos to him for pulling it together last season. But I guess he’s just an inconsistent pitcher as his resume says he is. Sure would be nice for Mize and Olson to get through the 6th inning on a consistent basis going forward. That’d be helpful for sure.
  12. Can’t wait to see how many countries boycott the 2028 Summer Olympics.
  13. That's not rain. That's Toronto tears.
  14. Sure, but probably not as much as I'd like Alex "I have no idea where the ball is going to go" Lange being brought back.
  15. He's an A student. Not bad at all.
  16. I think it’s a reasonable assumption going forward that Baez and McKinstry cool off, Vierling and Meadows heat up, and Torkleson has found himself. I also think it’s reasonable assumption that Carpenter gives the offense a boost hen he returns. I’m just not sure it’s reasonable to assume he’ll be healthy for the rest of the season, but that’s what they‘ll have to hope for.
  17. THE Matt Manning? Gonna politely decline, thank you.
  18. No, they need BP arms. This stretch right now is a combination of nothing working. But we've seen the offense work. The BP really hasn't been up to task for a much longer stretch. Part of the offensive game has been aggressive base running. Can't do that with minimal base runners. I'd wager the OBP has been amongst the bottom of the barrel the last couple of weeks.
  19. Those are notable, no question. They had sizable leads because the division stinks and they have not had a bad stretch of baseball yet. They're in it now. They weren't going wire to wire without one. Hardly any team does.
  20. See, someone is already laughing about.
