AAV of $26.9 million looks fair but man are they going to hate that contract for the last half of it. If I'm a player I will take Lindor's contract over that one every time. He collects all his money by the time he is 37. As an owner I would prefer it too.

That's just horrible. People like that were always out there but after 2016 it was acceptable for them to ooze out into the daylight and be proud of their stupidity.

That was my thought too, Harris targeted him, and they settled on Jimenez plus cash, and the Tigers get some junk too. Harris probably has a list of OBP/power guys that might be pried away from their current orgs.

I like McGriff a lot, but would have considered him to be borderline HOF...until Baines got in, then McGriff should have been a slam dunk. Mattingly couldn't carry his jock strap. As for Murphy, I am surprised that he does not get more love, he had a very high peak. But as always you compare any of these guys to Whitaker, and the question is just absurd and doesn't even deserve an answer.
