  1. Everything Trump touches.....
  2. Posting without comment because I can't think of any polite words
  3. Every time someone tries to legislate election funding, Big Business cries freedom of speech.
  4. Meanwhile while we're "discussing" the level of illegality of classified documents. Nobody wants to talk about the fact that UNoHoo's daughter and son in law walked out of the White House with a $2 Billion deal with Saudi Arabia for who knows what. Yet the Crazy Party in Congress wants to hang the current occupant of the White House for something his son allegedly did but can't prove.
  5. Nixon was in his second term, not eligible for election.
  6. Probably, we're a lot more divided today than it seemed back then. 7 Republican members of the House Impeachment Committee voted to impeach.
  7. They're still eating their own. There is absolutely no desire to actually govern from this party despite all the emails and ads my back bench Trump backing Congress critter sends me. But in this district as long as he keeps money flowing to Newport News Shipyard he's golden despite the fact a Democrat would do the same
  8. To me the real underlying issue here is who willingly turned in the documents when they were discovered and who attempted to cover up the crime when they were asked about classified documents. Much like Nixon in the Watergate case the break-in was bad and yes illegial, the coverup was beyond the norm.
  9. Or suggested they shine an ultra violet light up an orifice
  10. According to the school's website his father coached there. That could be the connection https://goduquesne.com/staff-directory/keith-dambrot/234
  11. Just as an aside, representatives from 33 states met in Williamsburg this week to discuss and exchange plans for the nations 250th celebration of the Declaration of Independence. As expected CW went all out in welcoming these folks. The closing "ceremony" was a bit of a history lesson centered around the events in May of 1774 when the Royal Governor dissolved the House of Burgesses after they announced a "Day of Prayer and Fasting" in support Boston colonists. The group met the next day to discuss plans for sharing information with the other colonies. The group was about as evenly split as we seem to be today, especially those who depended on the mother country for their goods and livelihood. This was re-enacted for the conference participants and whatever tourists and school groups that happened to be on DOG yesterday afternoon. In his closing comments Daniel Cross, who portrays Col George Washington, reminded those gathered outside Raleigh Tavern about the opening lines of the Constitution. We the people, in order to form a more perfect union. (my words now....The Constitution does not say I alone can fix it)
  12. Or betting on the Donut Races at Comerica. (Do they still do that?)
  13. Did he hurt it signing his contract?
  14. They tend to forget about the guy who did get infrastructure week done. Blinded by the Bronze
  15. I'm not sure they would all fit in the penthouse unless you are planning on for closing on the legitimate condo owners and businesses that occupy that address.
  16. Not quite the same but I keep having flashbacks to this https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/politics/1992/11/29/trump-went-broke-but-stayed-on-top/e1685555-1de7-400c-99a8-9cd9c0bca9fe/ After a decade of profligate borrowing, Trump lacked the cash to make his loan payments. Although he owned hotels, skyscrapers, casinos and an airline, his debts exceeded the value of his properties by hundreds of millions of dollars. Trump's lenders could have forced him into personal bankruptcy and stripped him of almost everything. But that didn't happen. Instead, the bankers and investors to whom Trump owed money made a series of deals that left him wealthy. They let him keep some properties and took control of others, and they reduced Trump's personal debt by about $750 million, more than four-fifths of the total. Then there was the time daddy bailed him out of his casino disaster. Between short memories and hero warship 40% of the voting public will probably bail him out again
  17. Caught the first couple episodes of Manhunt (AppleTV). It's based on the search for John Wilkes Booth after Lincoln was murdered. It primarily focuses on Edwin Stanton's investigation. It's very well done so far
  18. It looks like the former guy is getting the old gang back together. Makes it easier to funnel secrets to his handlers and launder dirty money.
  19. You would think his son in law would front him half a $billion out of his Saudi bribe.
  20. They already own his soul. Maybe they're starting to think he's a bad investment.
