I've been seeing stories around here about localities falling all over themselves to lure these data centers. The same folks that keep finding excuses to deny solar farms and such. Interestingly enough the same folks pushing for these things are the ones screaming the loudest about a regional sports/entertainment facility being built in the area. They are also championing the building of another Buc-ees nearby

Selective Christianity

Let's not forget those who lost their lives at yet not her school shooting that basically got swept under the rug.

On the day the US was attacked Pat Benatar was scheduled to perform a concert at a vineyard in Napa, Ca. The promoter urged her to go thru with it. After opening with America the Beautiful, this was the second song in the set. This video is from a TV concert a few years later

That song really needs to be banned for numerous reasons. None of them political. It ranks up there with the Macarena

Another thing to keep in mind, especially for those saying this is not normal. Ever since folks like John Smith, the Pilgrims, and others landed on the shores of what is now America we've been a violent people. It's in our DNA

I tend to doubt that one semester of college was enough to radicalize this guy....

I'm in the Argue Better camp. I might not agree with all of Utah's Governor Spencer Cox, especially on his recent remarks on Kirk. But I do respect him for his efforts to tone down rhetoric with his efforts as head of the National Governor's Association to attempt to reach compromises across political and idealogical lines with his disagree better Gov Wes Moore from Maryland is another one promoting actions by our leaders. What little I've seen of Kirk's "Prove Me Wrong" rallies tend to do just the opposite. It puts the opposing side on a defensive footing. This country became great because of leaders willing to make compromises. History has proven that when two ideology's refuse to come to some sort of an agreement, then countries fail.

I could take this all the way back to the Kennedy assignations and a lot of school shootings. It seems to be a common thread

Just a visit to the Sphere is awesome . We were there just over a year ago, opted for whatever the general show, Postcard from Earth. I think U2 was still in residency but tickets were impossible to get (and afford) with our schedule. Maybe on of the few reasons I'd consider visiting Vegas again.
