It reminded me of the Netflix series Daredevil and Punisher. Gritty and street level and sometimes brutal. All good series. And yes, Andor for Star Wars was in the same vein... great series.

On a WAG... I think Aaron Glenn is going to lose out on a "one more year to prove yourself on the ability to develop a top-notch defense"; and that we're going to lose Ben Johnson, most likely to the Commanders IMO.

Satisfied with the final episode of Fargo... Especially with the last confrontation between Ula Munch and the Lyon family.

One of the more successful arranged marriage that I can ever remember...

I agree with that... There's a NOW need (FA) and a Develop Need (draft).

PS: I really like both Powers-Johnson & Braswell since I believe those two to be Dan Campbell types of players... Biters of Kneecaps and overflowing with Grit. But we could use another 2nd rounder for Hutch's bookend DE. Proposal: Commanders have two EARLY 2nd rounders... Trade our 2023 2nd and a 2024 1st for the two early 2nds? That hopefully guarantees Braswell AND one of Trice or Tuimoloau (who I am uncertain as to whether either are Holmes/ DC type of players...). Not certain how that trade balances out value-wise on the charts but we could throw in an extra later round pick if it was required.

Sorry... This is probably an inappropriate time but, I just couldn't help myself... This is my best draft so far using a simulator and a straight up draft rather than crazy trades or anything: NOTES: I really wanted TJ Tampa as the CB but he keeps getting drafted right before our 2nd rounder, in the mid-2nd. Both he and Khyree are bigger CB's that excel at tackling as well as being big, fast, rangy, INT-types of CB's. Sort of what the Lions were trying to get with Melifonwu, even if he ended up at Safety instead. They might be a liability against smaller, shiftier inside WR's... but I think they would prevent some of the "burns" we keep receiving on the outside. Also: Powers-Johnson becomes the top backup at Center and Guard. Covers for Glasgow and especially Ragnow with his bad toe/ injuries. Also, if we don't re-sign Jonah. And Foster and Sorsdal are both guys that can cover OT as well as OG. I got two edge rushers (Braswell at OLB and Tupuola-Fetui at situational-DE) and an interior rusher (Jenkins) but since I went for Powers-Johnson in the 1st I wasn't in position for Trice or Tuimoloau (an actual bookend-type DE to match with Hutch...) since they are falling into the early 2nd round area so... I went for the next best thing. And I got the best college kicker in the 7th.

Vaporized is about right...

Strange things.

Unintended side effect of the trade: It was a message to the team.

Anybody know that Dominic Raiola's son Dylan is a 5-star QB that just switched his commitment to Dom's alma mater Nebraska...?

It's NOT a win now move. IMO. I already stated that. It's a "help Cade-Ivey-Duren now" move IMO. Even the corpses of Danilo Galinari and Mike Muscala should help spread the floor more, to those 3 guys benefit, than Livers and Bagley. Which is all I've ever said. Yes? No?

That's why I'd rather hunt RFA's... who will be young enough to actually have a future (and hopefully some high-end talent as well...).

Gores said otherwise. But... I mean... I do get what it does for the team in the offseason. But... Also, Tom Gores DID say he wanted changes, and he wanted them "NOW". Which... I am taking to mean this season.

I don't want to look at this team as a peak. Or soon to reach a peak. I prefer looking at this team as riding waves. We may be able to get to the top of a wave. Sometimes we might be surfing that wave. Sometimes we may hit the bottom of that swell, but get right back to the top of that wave, or the next wave... within seconds. Waves move quick in the ocean. Longevity, or sustainability... will depend on Holmes. As long as he can keep pulling in good players for Dan Campbell to coach up into winners... we could have some of that elusive sustainability. A Belichick-type 25-year run would work for me. I look at the past 65 years as one long valley. With the team only a few times even getting up to a single foothill. I don't want to try to get to a peak and then fall into another long, deep, valley. I want this team to surf waves.
