I wouldn't mind spending the contract on Cam Johnson... but it also costs assets... I would also absolutely need/want to move Bojan ala Betrayer, either way, who doesn't play defense anyways. If Cam doesn't work; then I would definitely be interested in Jalen McDaniels. Move Bojan, and then go after Cam or McDaniels as the new "vet" outside shooter. You can play either of these guys at either SF or PF so I don't think they block Ausar from taking over the SF spot if he gets up to speed quickly. If anything, they can put Stew on the Bench as the 6th-Man/ Energy guy off the bench. It would also be easier to put McDaniels on the bench as the 6th guy if that's the decision, and not so easy with Cam so there's also that... My vote is for McDaniels. That's my offseason recipe anyways...

I'm going to take a stab at a Red Wings draft through 4 rounds, but I'm going to cheat with the #17 pick: At # 9, Wings select: Axel Sandin Pellikka, RD At #17, Wings select: I Have No Clue. Whoever Stevie Y likes the best, and is available amongst Danielson, Honzek, But, Benson, Yager... maybe even Ritchie? I would guess it's between Danielson or Honzek, whoever is available, or But if those two are not. If we move up for Honzek, I'd rather trade Zadina than one of our 2nd rounders, but that's just me. At #41, Wings select Hunter Brzustewicz, RD At #42, Wings select Ethan Gauthier, RW At #43, Wings select Anton Wahlberg, C At #78, Wings select Cam Allen, RD At #117, Wings select Ruslan Khazheyev, Goalie After that it's too deep for me to WAG... (The Athletic has us selecting Ruslan at #117 and I looked him up and am 100% on board with that selection so... I'm cheating on this pick too I guess...). 5th through 7th rounds I'll let our excellent European scouts uncover some more undiscovered gems and I'll just leave it at that...

Campos went 4 for 4 plus a BB yesterday at WM... All singles... but it would be nice to see Campos take off...

They've also swarmed into Bakhmut I'm hearing... After all that hard work and dead (mostly convicts) Wagnerites and some Russian soldiers to achieve such a victory... And to lose it so quickly right back... How sad.

Blind adherence to a fascist wannabe dictator and the willingness to use violence is called... Fascism. Mussolini and Hitler perfected that. Trump is too incompetent to do the same but... We are now (and have been since 2020) a nation that consists of ~35% violent fascists willing to **** all over the Constitution of the United States and our Democracy.

And he'll work like hell to make it better. I can see Cade/ Ivey/ Stew and Ausar all in the gym competing to see who can make the most 3's out of 250 daily shots. They'll all work like hell to improve their LD shot.

I think I don't want Grant because of the cost, the contract, he'll be on the wrong side of 30 starting the very first year of this contract, and his defense is getting worse by the minute and is weak enough to not call him a 3&D guy anymore but, more like a 3 & OK D guy... I'll state my preference for Jalen McDaniels right here and right now.
-
I also preferred Hendricks for the reasons Tater stated but can get on board with Thompson for the reasons Weaver/ Del elucidate right here...
-
Whoo boy...! Even better! I'd like to see Wagner actually march towards Moscow... just to see what happens... Whether he gets there or not is another matter... of interest.

I don't think Khris is interested in leaving Milwaukee. Opting out just gets him a long-term contract (with Milwaukee) while the gettin's good... After this draft, I'm still looking for that 3&D Forward that we need, whether at SF or PF... UFA? RFA? Trade? UFA Jerami Grant? Will hit 30 next season so I'd be leery of too long a term but 3-4 years would be OK, I think. Would he want to come back here to finish up a rebuild? He would help on the 3-side but does he have any D left in him? His D-rating is steadily getting worse the past 4 years so most likely not. UFA Dario Saric? Could be an interesting value (contract) idea... although he's not too much different as a player than Grant... Would he be interested in the Pistons? RFA Cam Johnson? He'd be the biggest steal... but impossible to get him with the RFA... Same with Grant Williams... Under-the-radar guy? UFA Jalen McDaniels. This is my choice based on cost, possibility of signing, age, etc... What about RFA PJ Washington? Not a great option but the best of the rest...? Or is that UFA Trey Lyles? Overall, not great options to fill a need...

They already did that awhile ago when Wagner was trying to retreat out of Bakhmut. But it was a small arms exchange on his retreating forces and basically it has already blew over. Not that Prigozhin was happy about it and he did express his... displeasure. Is this something new?

I can live with Ausar... Work on your 3-point shot though... We're getting very athletic and defensive at this point...
-
Taylor Hendricks, Ben Sheppard, and Brice Sensabaugh is my dream draft. I'll let Weaver work out the details...
-
Yep. So I'd rather draft Ben Sheppard than Gradey D.
-
I'll leave that up to Weaver to decide...
-
If Miller somehow falls to 5, take him? Or do we rate any other players higher? My top 4 are still Miller, Hendricks, Whitmore, Ausar.
-
But you know... "Decorum".
-
Yep. Won't happen (at least not in the U.S.)... but... yep.
