  1. I would be much more amenable to 1 of the guys after Edvinsson than Cossa or Bertuzzi. Plus whatever additional draft picks it took.
  2. Bertuzzi is too much to me. What are your guys thoughts on that? Also, what is the possibility of using only draft picks to swing a trade like this? That's where I would want to start... which doesn't say that either Montreal or Jersey are on board with that... Just from my POV where I hope Yzerman would also start and/ maybe draw the line too. If picks don't do it, than we live with Savoie or Kasper or whatever under-the-radar superstar Stevie Y is able to find underneath the rock that no one else thought to look under (just sayin'...).
  3. How about two 1sts? Just asking for thoughts...
  4. Well... Erdogan got his deal. I don't like him, but good for him. And Sweden & Finland now join NATO. Huge win for NATO, Ukraine, those two countries, and the U.S. Huge loss for the current Russian Nazi Fascist regime of Vladimir Putin.
  5. How about Taurean Prince & Malik Monk?
  6. No (I don't believe so)... I think it would cost the #8 pick this year in the first round, our 2022 2nd round (8th pick) and 3rd round (8th) picks. Or this and next years 1sts (or a 2024 1st which would be even better), and our 2022 2nd round (20th) pick. But I'm just wagging this. I've never followed hockey draft trades in-depth... But I don't believe you're anywhere near correct. Aside from the fact that Yzerman is not trading either one of those guys in this package. I know players get traded in the draft, but, for example (last year's Yzerman trade): 2021: 23rd pick, 48, 138 for #15. That's not much to go on so... like I said... that's just a WAG on my part. The other thing that says the cost might be lower than normal is that there are no "franchise" type players in this draft. So if Wright is a #2C and not more than that... I think a trade can be had for less cost than suspected.
  7. That's not every single week in perpetuity and historically. That's just for the short time period right after her music popped up on Stranger Things. That I can get. It was thinking that "right now" meant "infinity" so... I need to reign in my impulsive thinking here...!!!
  8. There is a point of diminishing returns on draft picks... where the value of multiple picks is not as valuable as a key draft pickup. I think Yzerman was cognizant of that year when he traded up for Cossa. And, I know moving up for Wright would be much more costly than the move up for Cossa, so maybe it's apples & oranges... but I think the sentiment might not be different. In my mind, it is more important, at this point in time, to move up and snag Wright and try to slot him in as the #2 Center, than to have the later pick and the extra picks for "other guys". We'll see if Yzerman is thinking the same, or not... Otherwise, yeah, OK, it's just me.
  9. Sure. But I think Olynyk would be the preferred option as a starter, by Casey, for reliability reasons... And then how the minutes play out... will be based on other factors.
  10. I would rather have Olynyk-Stewart starting than Stewart-Bagley.
  11. Is that $1M = $1,000? or $1M = $1 Million per week? That seems very, very far fetched. Is it only her music, or has she written 1,000's of songs for other artists...? I love her music... but how the heck is she making $1 (million) per week?
  12. I got shot down the last time I suggested this...
  13. You're probably right. But I think I would want Olynyk as a stretch-5 because I'd want to prepare Stewart for how he is going to play with the starting 5 as soon as Duren gets there... so I'd wanna get him ready/ in that mindset... And the sooner that Duren can get his defensive legs underneath him and join the starting 5... the better. I'd think if it's Hayes-Diallo-Livers(?)-Bagley-Duren... there could be a lot of bad habits developed in there, by osmosis. So I'm still of the mind that the sooner Duren can start, the better.
  14. Was that sent to Alito or Clarence Thomas? Or both?
  15. I've always loved this song. Been listening to it for 37 years.
  16. To press sedition charges (the DOJ will announce after the House's recommendation and the video that proves it out) against Trump, Giuliani, Eastman, and several others...
  17. Theocracy. Full-blown. That's what they want. That's what we are (becoming).
  18. I was thinking this... Mo Brooks is spillin' the beanz. But the Holder documentary has to be REALLY big also...
  19. We did. But we're annoyed that the team never gave him a chance to prove that he was worth more than just being a trade asset... and the beneficiary's were Willi "No Glove" Castro, or Niko "No Longer With Us" Goodrum, or similar ilk. And the following:
  20. I agree with this. But I also agree with your earlier post in that... why was he not getting an opportunity to play when the guys that were playing ahead of him were playing like detritus...? If he had enough AB's to actually prove himself, he might be our starting 2B or 3B today, or at least a top backup, and we would have traded someone else for Meadows (or been unable to get him if it was Paredes that they really wanted... which also says that they did a proper evaluation (at this point in time) and that we did NOT). Which I think is yours and several of us's point. (I made up "us's" just to squeeze that in there...)
