  1. Coming up Thursday.…
  2. Boom! Carpenter’s 3-run Blast.m4a
  3. I think Carpenter’s home run caused my Apple Watch to be worried about me.
  4. Clase is human. He puts his pants on one leg at a time. 1st and 3rd, 2 out
  5. Closest I can come with screenshotting. Still inconclusive, IMO.
  6. On replays I think he caught it. Both Dan and Bobby Scales think he caught it.
  7. Vierling on 2nd with a double, 1 out. No time like the present.
  8. Not too many right fielders would have cut down Malloy at 2nd
  9. 12 up, 12 down for Skubal, 7 of them on strikeouts. 51 pitches.
  10. Regardless of how effective Skubal has been, four scoreless innings for Boyd is a big loss for the Tigers.
  11. Can’t waste this lead off double. Up to Rogers.
  12. Skubal strikes out the side. Perfect through 3.
  13. Greene grounds out weakly on the first pitch to end a two on, two out Tigers’ threat.
  14. Skubal looking good. 0-0 entering the 3rd, need a couple of runs.
  15. Is every single Mets game wild?
  16. Wasn't the main reason, or really only reason, Moore was hired was for "continuity"? To maintain the program at a high level coming off a national championship and minimize transfer outs. If this year was a write-off anyways, then they could have looked elsewhere. Fans after the past 3 years would overlook a couple steps backwards this year if it meant building for the future. But instead I see a staff floundering even with some talent, whereas next year's talent level almost assuredly will be lower. Doesn't bode well unless they replace Moore after this season, which I don't see happening. Washington is playing in a new conference, lost its head coach, most of its talent from last season graduated and that which didn't instead transferred. But new coach inheriting bare cupboard has them at 4-2 also and playing better than Michigan.
  17. Vikings are 5-0.
  18. I had the privilege of watching this mess in person and just got back from the game. I won't say much about the game itself, as you guys have already covered all the bases. Let's just say Michigan's play was as ugly in person as it would have looked on TV. I did allow myself to be deluded into thinking at halftime that Michigan, thanks to Tuttle, would roll them in the 2nd half and win somewhat comfortably. So just two comments: - Husky Stadium is a beautiful venue. During most of Michigan's offensive series, it was more appealing to turn my head away from the field and look out towards Lake Union - Boy were there a lot of obnoxious Michigan fans. You'd think the scoreboard and performance would quiet them or slow them down a bit, but nope. I had a Michigan alum from the '70s on one side of me and a U-W season ticket holder on the other side of me, both of whom were great and had game-long conversations with both, but all of us were cringing every few minutes over the Michigan contingent that dominated several rows in our section
  19. 5-0. Guess it will be music and podcasts for me rather than baseball on my drive down to Seattle for the Michigan at Washington game.
