  1. We also have to keep in mind the Central was extremely bad this year, even worse than most years and the Tigers took advantage of that. I don't know enough about each org and their systems to know how much if any improvement we should expect from them but its hard to see those teams getting any worse next year so even if the Tigers get better it may be offset by the rest of the division getting better as well.
  2. Ill keep saying it but the fears of drafting Carter aren't going to show themselves the first month or two of his rookie season so it's pointless to look at what he does right now in the sense of if it was a mistake passing on him.
  3. It figures the Tigers finally start to beat up in division foes the year MLB balances the schedule. If they played them the same amount as before and kept up the same winning rate they probably win the division.
  4. Im not gonna lie I've been disappointed in Campbell's play thus far, maybe it takes longer for that position to adjust to the NFL cause while not expecting him to dominate right out of the gates I expected him to atleast me solid and thus far from what I have seen and what the data says he hasnt been that good at all. Still early though and like I said I don't know if it is unusual for a highly touted rookie linebacker to struggle early but as of now I think it's fair to say he has been disappointing. Gibbs has had some drops and the production hasn't been big but you can see the skills and what he potentially brings to the table so Im not that worried about him.
  5. Top tier(The Favorites) SF Philly 2nd tier(capable of winning the conference if things break right) Detroit Dallas Seattle 3rd tier(mediocre teams that could make the playoffs due to crappy conference) Rams Falcons Packers Saints Commanders Bucs Giants Vikings Bottom Tier(Formerly known as 'The Lions tier') Cardinals Panthers Bears
  6. Georgia struggles but wins against a mediocre Auburn team, I'm sure they'll still be number 1 but they probably will lose some 1st place votes to Michigan.
  7. Yeah Id be down with getting Yamamoto and Hader. Id prefer us to spend money on a bat but outside of Bellinger there aren't a whole lot that I like so we may be best served to sign premium pitching instead of signing offensive guys who may be upgrades over what we have but aren't premium in general.
  8. Yeah I was gonna bring that up, iirc if you watch the behind the scenes draft video the room wasnt celebrating as much when the Gonzalez pick was made like they did for other picks. They seemed happy with Jack but I too wonder if it was more if a 1A and 1B thing with Gonzalez being the A.
  9. Definetly a possibility. I personally didn't expect anywhere near this from him, many were fine drafting him at 6 and I just wasn't interested in him there, Witherspoon was the only db I wouldve taken there. But after we traded back and picked up the extra capital I would've been fine taking him there.
  10. Kapler needs to be our strength and conditioning coach.
  11. Kinda on the subject of Gibbs, we hear alot about passing on Carter at 6 but a name that hasnt been brought up as much is Christian Gonzalez. He's already playing corner at an elite rate and we could've had him at 12 so we still could've gotten LaPorta as well. Of course I guess you could say if we took Gonzalez we may not have taken Branch so if that is true then passing on him doesnt look so bad. Boy though if we still wouldve drafted Branch the pairing of him and Gonzalez could help solidy the secondary for years.
  12. Even as a staunch Campbell/Johnson supporter I will admit the use of Gibbs or lack there of has been a bit questionable. There seems to be better ways to use him than how they have been. All I can say is though that I know TP will disagree but Johnson isn't an idiot, there must be a reason why. Whether that's just them saving to deploy those plays or if they just dont have full confidence in his receiving skills at this time, after all he has already dropped a few passes this year, maybe he is doing the same in practice, who knows?
  13. So much good news of late, makes me feel like the episode of Married with Children where Al starts having good luck, he is so paranoid cause he just knows that something extremely bad is going to happen to offset that.
  14. I have little idea how the international market works nor what exactly a Special Assistant does but I wonder if Miggy could be any help getting guys down in Venezuela?
  15. Currently SNF in week 10 is the Jets vs. Raiders, I know those two teams have good fanbases but I wouldn't be surprised if it still gets flexed out. Looking at the other games that week and there's a couple good options but if the Lions are still playing well and being talked like they currently are I could see the Lions/Chargers getting flexed to primetime if the Chargers can get their **** together
  16. You were at the game so you didn't hear it but the analyst on Sunday brought up that analogy as well.
  17. They needed 2TDs and FG so they tried to extend the game a bit by taking the FG there and then making it a 2 possession game with the hopes that they could recover the onside.
  18. Jacobs with his 2nd pick of the night to put a bow on this one. Jacobs played a solid game, gave up some yards but it felt like most of those he had great coverage but the ball was either placed perfectly or the receiver made a great play to make the catch.
  19. Yeah definitely take Branch out, hell I'd sit him out next Sunday too if he isn't 100%. He's too valuable going forward to risk a major injury.
  20. Whoa a super late flag that goes in our favor?
  21. Birkett says questionable to return with an "ankle injury".
  22. Oh God looks like Branch was pointing to his achilles. Please no!
  23. It does but considering how the defense has played and the GB offense has looked it's hard to blame the Lions for getting a little conservative and not trying to do too much.
