Oh yeah for sure, if they didn't open their mouths they wouldn't have gotten "penalized"(put it in quotes cause I think it was a inconsequential penalty). Even if people suspected you can't prove it unless you admit to it, they easily couldve said the players were a little banged up and they wanted them to be 100% for the last couple games and potential play in games.

Im a Johnston fan so Id have no problem if we took him in the 1st. Yes there are some other X receivers that you can potentially get later but you can say the same about most other positions as well.

I have Witherspoon above Gonzalez and Wilson but otherwise by lineup is pretty much the same as yours.

Yeah I don't know what to make of Kancey, the production and athletic testing checks out but his size is a bit worrisome. I wouldn't hate the pick at 18 but I dont think Id go there if I already went Wilson at 6. Id rather go Bijan, CB or Quentin Johnston at 18 than him.

Kiper and Mcshay's latest 3 rd mock where they alternate picks has the Lions with Wilson, Kancey, Gibbs, Drew Sanders and Schoonmaker. Don't hate it but wouldve taken Witherspoon over Wilson and Campbell over Sanders.

Btw with Sac winning does that make the Pistons have the longest drought without winning a playoff game? I remember exactly where I was at when they won their last one, never in a million years if you wouldve told me then that come 15 years later they still wouldn't have won another one I never would've believed you.

I get the Mavs thought process but I still question it given the lack of high end teams in the West this year along with having some talent on their own team. If they were your run of the mill play in team that was playing for the rights to play your normal 60-65 win 1-2 seed Id get it but I don't think that is the case this year. Nobody wouldve been shocked if the Mavs upset Memphis for instance.

They were talking about various mocks online on the Stoney and Jansen this morning and I guess one from a Houston writer has the Texans taking Tyrese Wilson at 2. They said the write up said something of the effect of "I know this is going to make Texans fans upset but I'm hearing more and more that the Texans are going to wait on their qb and take another position with Wilson being the most likely player." I would say it could just be a smokescreen but I don't really see any benefit to them doing that considering they are picking 2 and the team picking 1st is 99% picking qb.

Yes this, I brought this up to my peers today at work when we were talking about cancelling the baseball/softball games for our district. It of course went on deaf ears so the kids are playing in 30 degree wind chills where they almost assuredly have no feeling in their fingers.

Officially postponed till tomorrow.

Now we just need to either win both games tomorrow or hope for a cancellation so come Wednesday we can say that we've gone a week without losing a game!

Trout did struggle with the high fastball early on but he was so good at mashing other pitches he still had great overall numbers. Also that was kinda the beginning of the high spin FB up in the zone craze so I dont think pitchers quite mastered it yet so even though he struggled with it they didn't feel comfortable throwing it too much.

It's typical prospect fatigue with Anderson. For 3 years he was viewed as this generational pass rusher with people saying he wouldve been the first one off the board each of the previous 2 seasons, now suddenly those folks start back tracking on their opinion of him despite him doing nothing to warrant it.

Sub a DB or somebody like Cedric Tillman for Laporta and this would damn near be a legit perfect draft for me.
