  1. I've been thinking that for awhile, I mean if a batter gets robbed due to a fielder making a spectacular play they don't reward the batter with anything.
  2. I disagree about DE being a bigger need, if McNeil was healthy and Reader was his 2023 self then yeah but neither are the case. Our defense did fine last year without a pass rush, it wasn't until McNeil got hurt, Reader showed his age and opponents started running down our throats when the defense collapsed.
  3. Office Space The Big Lebowski Dumb and Dumber Anchorman Office Space and The Big Lebowski will forever be on it but the other 2 could be mixed and matched with about a half dozen or so others.
  4. 26 of 32 picks were from the SEC(15) or Big 10(11) including 22 out of the last 24.
  5. DT was the position I wanted most so in that regard I'm happy with it but I would've liked somebody that has shown more pass rushing and pocket collapsing ability. I do remember watching him in the CFB playoffs though and he stood out in one of the games I was watching.
  6. Random but I have to point out that I hate the draft hats, IDK I think it looks "gas stationish" by having writing and the logo on the front. Not to mention the colored bill with all black top.
  7. I want Will Johnson or Jahdae Barron.
  8. Zabel was actually my prediction for the Lions, surprised to see him go this early.
  9. It's definitely weird to see something like that for a non QB.
  10. 40 minutes in and only 3 picks announced. At this rate we won't hear our pick till tomorrow morning.
  11. If you're in the trade back camp then hope that Shadeur Sanders or maybe Jaxon Dart drop and are available at 28, getting that 5th year option on a 1st round pick is extra valuable for QB so a team that picks early in the 2nd round that may have eyes on QB might be willing to trade up to ensure that.
  12. They mentioned on the radio that it could be a tell in regards to who they plan to extend and who they don't by their draft this year. IE if they take a RB early no Gibbs, TE no Laporta, safety Branch etc. Personally I don't agree with that necessarily, the guys I mentioned that the radio brought up still have atleast 2 full seasons of team control before they get expensive so to me next draft would be the one where something like that happens. If you do it now then by the time you plan on them filling in you're only going to get a year out of them until you have to decide to keep them or not.
  13. Stan Van Gundy to be the next hire.
  14. The highlight of Norris for me was his last start in 2016 when we still had an outside chance at a wc berth. I remember watching it and thinking that was one of the most explosive fastballs I had ever seen. Unfortunately that was one of the last times he had any sorta life on his fastball.
  15. I think I read that was already the Padres 7th shutout of the season. Needless to say you're gonna win alot of games when you shut your opponent out every third game.
  16. Assuming he's still pitching at this level next deadline and if the Tigers do indeed shop him around I think David Price in 2015 would be a good comp. Like Skubal, Price was a rental and like him an elite pitcher and Cy Young winner, both the same age as well. We of course got a top 15ish overall prospect in Norris as the centerpiece along with Matthew Boyd who I think was considered more of a fringe guy at that point but I could be remembering that wrong.
  17. BTW in early September if you were told 2 Detroit teams would win playoff games in the next calendar year how many people would've guessed it would be the Tigers and Pistons?
  18. Another fun tidbit about our playoff drought, the last win before this Linsday Hunter was in the lineup who was born in 1970 and drafted in 1993. In today's game we had a guy born in 2005 and drafted in 2024 in Ron Holland.
  19. Granted most non Knicks fans probably are rooting against them so they may be biased but if you look on social media its amazing how many people you will see that aren't pistons fans talking about how favorable the officiating has been for the Knicks.
  20. Nice to get a win when you go 6-27 from 3 and Cade, THJ, Tobias and Beasley going 3-22. I know the Knicks didn't shoot well from deep either but still it shows that it didn't take them shooting out their minds to get the win which gives me more hope going forward.
  21. I was 25 fresh out of grad school, no "adult job", living the single life last time I experienced a Pistons playoff win. Now I'm in my early 40s, with a family and 16 years at my "adult job". Unbelievable.
  22. KAT should've been called for a moving screen on that inbound play.
  23. Was thinking the same thing. Is that not illegal anymore or something?
  24. Montero gives up the solo shot. 9th run of the game on only the 2nd extra base hit.
