In regards to Kreidler I probably only watched half of his at bats as a Tiger but in the at bats I seen I don't think I have ever seen a worse looking non pitcher at the plate. Personally I don't think I seen a single hard hit ball out of the 100 or so at bats I got to see from him.

BTW I believe this game is on nationally on FS1, that's what it says on ESPN's website anyway. If so I think any of you guys outside of the Detroit market can watch them if you have the station.

Speaking of drafting well, here's a "Draft power rankings" from the past 5 drafts according to the Athletic where based off of their metrics they assigned an added value. I had high hopes for him but ever since he got injured before the pandemic he just hasn't been the same pitcher. He'd put together an outing here and there where the stuff looked like it was back to pre 2020 but those were few and far between. Oh well we struck gold with Skubal and may have found something with Mize so all in all that is a pretty damn good outcome from a "big 3" prospect of pitchers.

Manning needs to be taken out behind the shed at this point. No need to continue the suffering.

Even though Adduci senior was an angry drunk I do give him credit for showing his son the ropes and loopholes when it comes to the MLB. He surely was the one that taught him to keep tabs on returning players and to make sure you get "injured" right before they get called back up so you can still collect an MLB paycheck.

All in all a decent start for Jobe, nice to see him get a little more swing and misses, generating 10 on 87 pitches(most of those were on the last 60 so got more as the game went on). Still has to command the fastball better, too many either aren't even close enough to generate a swing or end up right in the hitters sweet spot.

This was a problem last year too, way too many times they were still showing a graphic, replay or something else while the next pitch/play was already going on.

Random but that graphic they just showed about Witt made me remember just how good and underrated young Ryan Braun was. For those that didn't see the stat it said that Witt has the most extra basehits through their first 3 seasons since Braun back in the late 00s. I think of all the great players that have come around since then yet nobody could match Braun.

Kriedler made him work a bit which is about all you can ask from him. He should either just try bunting every at bat or just leave the bat on the shoulder and make the guy throw 3 strikes cause it's clear he can't hit MLB pitching.

It feels like Sam has always been higher on Cade than others in the NBA media.

Considering it's the Knicks and it should(hopefully) be a competitive series unlike some 1/8 and 2/7 matchups you'd think all the games would get the prime TV times.

Olson is not the guy I would like to be on the mound to stop this mini skid.

Yeah was gonna say the same thing. I think the most likely answer is just randomness but if it's not that then I'd side with keeping up with the Dodgers and the playing field becoming equal by adding the DH as the most likely reasons.

I drove by Miller Park(That's what it still is to me) and it looked impressive from the outside, never been to a game though, seemed like anytime I happened to be in the area the Brewers were out of town. Would love to catch one though someday always liked the look of it on TV.

It's wild to me that Curry still sells so many jerseys despite having been on the same team for over 15 yrs. I mean it feels like anybody that would want a jersey of his would already have one unless he just attracts that many new fans of his every year.

The Ripken card along with the Sam Vincent with Michael Jordan wearing the number 12 in the background were the big chases in terms of random cards for me and my friends as kids.

Of the Tigers 5 losses this year 1 was in extra innings and another 3 were by 1 run. They also have had leads in all but 2 of the games. They are a collective 2-4 in extras and 1 run games so with optimal luck they could be looking at an even better start right now.

The promising thing is that atleast on the hitting side they're not doing this by having everybody hitting over their heads to the point you just know total regression will come. Guys like Dingler and Mckinstry are almost certainly going to regress and even if Tork is for real he's likely not going to continue this pace but otoh Greene has room to improve as does Carp and Keith to offset that if and when it does come. Not to mention Vierling and Torres return and hopefully(not counting on it though) Meadows at some point. I worry about the starting pitching depth when the inevitable happens but if Cobb can get healthy and Montero can get back to what he was last year that could help there. Not to mention every team lacks in that regard so as long as Skubal, Flaherty and atleast one of Mize/Jobe/Olson all continue to excel you can survive with a patchwork number 4 and 5 if it does indeed come to that. One more potential bonus is that if we do choose to be buyers or need to upgrade somewhere we have the ammunition in our farm system to get it done as well.

Yeah not many, ironically one of the few that comes to mind that did work out is one where we presumably didn't want to pay the amount to keep him(I say presumably cause it could have been his choice) and that's Scherzer's deal with Washington. Don't remember the exact details of it but I know he was dominant there just about every year and won multiple Cy Youngs so I'm sure Washington was more than happy with it.

With the 6 shutout innings today for Jobe that now leaves only Olson as our only starter not to have atleast one start with no runs allowed. Pretty impressive given none have made more than 3 starts as of now.

I gave up on Manning a couple seasons ago atleast as a starter, best case scenario for him is he carves out a career as a multi inning reliever but I'm skeptical of even that from him. Just way too inconsistent for me to want to trust him in any type of high leverage role.

Bobby Witt should consider himself lucky to featured on the same graphic as McKinstry.
