Funny how they sill call it a change up, I mean if you throw it every pitch and at the same speed what exactly are up changing up?

I wonder if all these games Cade is missing at the end of the year will effect his All NBA chances?
-
Yep! It was in regards to Vmart in the 2011 playoffs. My friends and I who were watching together started cracking up and it's still a bit of an inside joke to us to this day. Was hoping somebody on here would remember it.

Hope this doesn't linger cause after all baseball is a game of oblique angles and injuries.(Bonus points if you know this reference)

Did anybody see the Yankees exit velos? Sure they scored alot of runs but if all the EVs were just normal and what you would expect when striking the ball on the barrel how do we even know that these bats helped at all? Also be worth seeing if this effected their swing speeds as all. In golf there is a term called "smash factor", that's where you divide the ball ball speed by swing speed. Be interesting to see if there were any difference for the Yankees with these bats or last year.

Aaron Judge hit 3 HRs in the first 4 innings today and just missed hitting a 4th in the 5th inning but had to settle for a double. It's still in the 7th inning so he may have another shot at getting his 4th.

These are the reasons why it's hard to say whether they are just getting started and have a bright future or if this could end up being their ceiling. The other day on the radio they talked about the Pistons having one of the brightest futures in the NBA due to how young they are and how well they are playing but unlike most other instances where a team is very young they don't have a ton of ways to improve the team from the outside due to their payroll and lack of 1st round pick. Also they don't have many real expendable assets they could move to get a proven player that could take them to the next level. If they are ever going to take that next step it just looks like it is going to have to come from within. Ivey was playing really well before his injury, if he can come back and play at that level going forward that will certainly help. Then maybe Ausar adds more to his offensive game and maybe even Holland. If none of those things happen then this very well may end up just being an outlying year for us. /debbiedowner

The Pistons just became the first team in NBA history to triple their win total from the prior year. That is pretty wild especially since it wasn't due to adding a bunch of premium talent in the offseason like the Celtics did the year they got KG and Allen or Cavs adding Lebron and Kevin Love nor was it due to a generational draft pick like the Spurs getting Duncan(and a healthy Robinson back).

A lot of ifs but if that were to happen along with Tork bouncing back and Keith ending up being a plus player then that 2020 draft will look really good. It would be a feather in Al's cap to get 3 regulars out of only 5 rounds. But like I said a lot of ifs involved but not out of the realm of possibility.

Clinched a winning season and I believe reduced our magic number for the top 6 to 2.

He's joining ohtani in the 50/50 club ain't he?

Arnold's PFF grade was terrible but to me he looked much better on the eye test, especially the 2nd half of the year. Barring injury of course I think he is going to be a special one.

The Dodgers do have a beast team but they have so for the better part of 15 yrs as well and "only" won 2 championships. Yeah though looking up and down their lineup and rotation and it makes me wonder how many Tigers would even start for them? Skubal of course and probably Greene but that may be it. Hell they may be the only 2 that would even make their 26 man roster as of right now.

Kinda like the last time we made it except with Blake. We were likely going down easily against the Bucks but Blake playing on 1 leg killed any hope of us making it competitive.

Don't follow Memphis really so from an outside standpoint I'd have to imagine it's something behind the scenes. Hopefully for his sake it isn't something bad/illegal he did outside of basketball that they caught wind of.

3/27/25 7:10PM Tigers @ Dodgers 2025 Opening Day!
RandyMarsh replied to Tigeraholic1's topic in Game Threads
Keith had multiple 4-6 week stretches last year where he hit at an elite level for any position... unfortunately he had even more stretches where he hit at below replacement level or in some cases even Javy level. To me the fact that he atleast showed for month long stretches his rookie year that he could mash is a good sign. That gives me more hope that he could be a plus bat then if he just hit for a .675 ops consistently throughout the year. -
Bucks lose so Pistons jump a half game infront of them for the 5th seed. With the way Indy has been playing if we can't ge the 4 seed I wonder if we're better off dropping to 6 and playing the Knicks to be honest.

pretty sure it was Ferndale. -
He's having one of if not the greatest 5 year stretch of play of all time. He's averaging over 13BPM during that stretch, MJ never had a single season as high as Jokic's average the past 5 seasons.

Watching the Indy/LAL game and I felt dirty fist pumping and letting out a "yes" for a Lebron James game winner.

My High School and College girlfriend had a short term thing with Cameron Maybin around 2006/7ish. On a side note my Mom went dated and went to prom with former Cy Young winner Bob Welch, I remember my Dad jokingly telling me that she left him to end up marrying the superior baseball player. lol -
From what I have read from multiple places the consensus feels that this draft has about 15 "true" first round rated players, if Brad feels the same then given his track record it's far more likely to me that he tries to trade up and grab one of them then it is he trades back. He did that with Jamo when he said he was the last of the 1st round grades in that class and Arnold last year.

SGA has scored 1900 points this year....through 3 quarters, the only player to have that many points total is Anthony Edwards.
