    The problem is Boyd is a slot receiver despite having the build of an outside receiver. I like Chark. He knows the offense and he's worked with Goff. He had similar production to Reynolds even with Bryce Young. I wouldn't mind Zay Jones either.

    I feel like this staff has a plan for players and they are patient. I don't think anyone would have been shocked if Melifonwu did not make the roster out of training camp. The coaching staff was patient and committed to converting him to safety and it paid off.

    Jacksonville cut Zay Jones. He's got versatility as an outside and slot guy. He had injuries last year but before that was pretty reliable. He would make a good pickup on a year deal. I'm also a fan of bringing back Chark.

    Manu probably wasn't going to be the backup tackle anyways. He is most likely to be inactive like Martin was last year. I was thinking Skipper was the likely backup tackle unless they think Sorsdal can do it.

    The size and athleticism from Manu is impressive. He's really coming into a great situation. The Lions already have two very good tackles and they have one of the best offensive line coaches in the league. If there ever was a place where a lineman can reach his potential, it's the Lions.
