  1. I don't know what that website is, but I simply do not believe it. Why would Dallas release Elliot to just turn around and give him a massive contract that no other team was willing to give? I thought for a second it was an April fools joke.
  2. Smith is getting up in age and over his final 7 games, he only had 0.5 sacks. He pretty much disappeared the final half of the season. The Vikings would be over the cap one they signed their rookie class so they needed to cut salary.
  3. The Vikings should consider trading Cousins but I'm not sure there would be any takers this late in the offseason.
  4. The Vikings defense was as bad as the Lions and it's only gotten worse. Dalvin Cook could be next.
  5. Vikings get the Eagles, 49ers, and Bengals vs the Lions getting Dallas, Seattle and Baltimore. I would take that trade off.
  6. Here's another issue with Minnesota, they didn't do much in the offseason and are over the cap. They are likely still going to have to move a good player such as Cook, Hunter or Smith. They really have a worse roster than they did last year that vastly overachieved.
  7. The Vikings had a negative point differential. Their expected win total according to Pro-football reference was 8.4 wins. The Lions led the division with an expect 9.1 wins. The Viking vastly overachieved. Green Bay even had a slightly higher expected win total of 8.5. The Vikings ceiling was about 9 wins.
  8. Eagles started 2-5 in 2021 and finished 7-3 to go 9-8. They went into 2022 with high expectations and a questionable QB. They went 14-3, made it to the Super Bowl, and Hurts is now the highest paid QB.
  9. Thankfully the Lions did draft a QB though in case teams do figure out Goff and they need to make a change this season.
  10. Goff has been around the league for 6+ seasons. Teams know his limitations by now. Despite those two bad games early in the season, he got better as the season went on and played well the final 11 games. Weird how teams weren't exploiting him after those games.
  11. When we say Jared Goff of old, I'm guessing not the multiple Pro Bowler from 2017 and 2018? because I would like that Jared Goff of old.
  12. Not too mention the current ownership is new. Some people, especially the national writers, get lazy and say but they are still owned by the Ford's. The win at Green Bay was the turning point for me. They were 3-27 there in the past 30 years. This a team that went into Green Bay and let Matt Flynn shred them. They go in this year in what was essentially a playoff game and win and end Rodgers Packers career. That was when this team experienced success and realized their potential. I also read, and I think it was posted here, that the better teams in the league are young and rely on younger players. The Chiefs aren't an old team. The Bengals aren't old, and speaking of the Bengals, there's a franchise that had a longer playoff winless streak than the Lions until they suddenly experienced success and realized their potential.
  13. I bet he also said the Packers would win because the Lions never win at Lambeau.
  14. I have the Lions at 18-0. They're so good they're going to win the BYE week.
  15. I think Lions at Chargers is an obvious choice for 4:25.
  16. I read the Dallas game is a Saturday game on ESPN.
