What happened to Carlos?

Noah Sewell ran 4.72. Not good. Everything else was good but not exceptional. Looks like he’s gonna be 3rd round at best and most likely day 3. Bad for him and good for the Lions.

It also seems they still like Charles Harris and have every intention of keeping him this year. Obviously that could change and he could still be on the cut list but if not they have a deep room at DE. Not sure if that impacts their thought process for someone like Wilson or Murphy at 6.

I assume they will be bringing Edvinsson and Soderblom up once all the smoke clears from the deadline. Time to give them some more experience.

Their initial plan had them taking a year more of building the foundation before going out and adding big FA pieces. The weakness in the NFC combined with how they finished last season has opened the window early. I think they should make every effort to explore big moves right now.

I don’t think they need to accumulate offensive defenseman at this point of the rebuild. They have Seider and the rest should be focused on doing the right things with the puck and not making mistakes in the zone. Do your job, stay at home defenseman are what you often need in that 2nd and 3rd pairing to have a good team.

If he throws down at the combine and shows off his insane physical skills along with a clean medical that could push him right back into that top 10 discussion. I don’t see anyway that Vaitai is on the team with a $12m cap hit. If he’s willing to work with them to lower the number then maybe he stays. If not, they will cut him and let him test the market for himself. Either way, this will all get resolved well before training camp.

Let’s keep an eye on Bresee this week. He says he’s finally fully healthy and ready to put on a show. A big combine will put him in play for the Lions. I also saw that Murphy says he expects to run 4.55 at 6’5 275.

One positive of this war is that we’ve confirmed that years or neglect and corruption have made a paper tiger of the once feared Russian military.
