  1. ERod to…? Lot of suitors need to pivot now.
  2. I think they call it, "Coolbaugh'd"
  3. hard to make of what happened to him once he hit AAA--quite the fall-off. You usually don't see that pronounced of a drop from AA.
  4. for a group of avid football fans (you're posting in a Lions message board, for chrissakes), you don't have a lot of confidence in your ability to assess talent. If you did, you would see that Bryce Young is the only guy you would draft from this class with the Rams pick. And he probably won't be there. None of the others are worthy at that pick. Perhaps with the Lions own pick, if Levis or Richardson drop. In this draft, it's Bryce or bust. Otherwise, take the best defense players available, live with Goff for another year, or find a different way to get an established, proven QB.
  5. Really going out on a limb, eh?
  6. Any references to Goff’s 2021 season is foolish. Banged up O-line and RB and no wide receivers, except for the Sun God. He gets a mulligan from me.
  7. Who cares about any comparison between Stafford and Goff? The question is should the Lions burn a 1st rounder at a position that doesn’t appear to be in need of an upgrade (vs using if to improve our defense). Also, if anyone saw the game between OSU and Harbaugh’s babies, you would not use a top-10 pick on Stroud. I’m happy to ride 2023 with our current offense and use our 1st and 2nd rounders to upgrade the D.
  8. Have you seen the kids mullet?
  9. Jonathan Mayo was just on MLBTV and mocked Max Clark to us.
  10. All things equal, would be nice to get one of the OF’ers. We are completely devoid there, outside of Greene.
  11. He gets the Harold Castro innings
  12. Once Rodon signs, I think we move ERod to one of the bridesmaids. He has a team friendly contract. Even if he opted out, he’s a huge bargain for a good team at $14M for next season. Probably our best trade chip.
  13. San Francisco played .500 ball and are way behind SD and LA. They also lost out on other free agents this offseason. Correa followed the money. And if a better offer came from Detroit, he’d have signed with us. Thank God we “missed out.” SF made a horrible deal that they will likely start to regret in 7-8 years, if not sooner.
  14. This is the Giants pivot from losing out on Judge. Glad it wasn’t us taking on a 13-year contract.
  15. I like any of the three top college bats. Dollander looks great, too, but selecting a pitcher that high makes me nervous.
  16. Nobody went to his birthday party either
  17. I’m not sure what Baez would need to do to get the stink of 2022 off of him for a team to take on the remainder of his contract. He’s ours, for better or worse.
  18. Kind of a bummer he played for so many teams. Sort of like Steve Carlton who bounced around a bit.
  19. This only works effectively if everyone would stop quoting certain contrarian individuals.
  20. No real tradable assets, some bad contracts and injured pitchers. Reminds of when Dombrowski took over. It took him a while to erase the sins of his predecessors.
  21. Only reacting to what is being speculated. It’s the best we can do at this point until more moves take place. Harris is being forced to navigate this offseason with his hands tied behind his back, so we need to be realistic about our expectations.
  22. Lugo is a good reliever, though we’re apparently looking at him as a starter.
  23. If… guys hit like they have in the past (Meadows, Baez, Schoop) as well as up to their potential (Tork, Greene), things could get better much quicker.
  24. Kind of depressing if true. Sounds like we want to ride with the kids for next season. Seth Lugo and Adam Frazier feels like a Michael Pineda and Jordy Mercer redux.
