  1. I’ll put Baddoo in the Boesch/Chris Shelton camp, until he proves otherwise.
  2. Minors are a bit barren—Campos, lil’ Meadows, Cabrera and Packard all are big question marks. Maybe we can get a Brennan Boesch-like half season out of Kerry Carpenter at some point.
  3. Tigers win this one, 6-3. Brieske gives up 3 solo HR’s, but Yankees can’t overcome Tucker Barnhart’s 5-5, 3 HR game.
  4. Hey, we contributed
  5. This didn’t age well. I’m sorry to anyone who selected Schoop and lost any money. I will have a sure fire prediction for tonight’s game to make up for this.
  6. This reads like a post on Next Door. Shouldn’t you just email AJ Hinch directly?
  7. the outcome for tonight, that you can take to Vegas, is a 6-3 Tigers victory. And if you're gonna pick a stick, make it be Schoop's. thank me later.
  8. ironic that I originally suggested that Carpenter and Robson should switch teams--probably not the outcome that Robson would embrace.
  9. Isn’t Peacock free?
  10. I know you should draft for BPA, but there are also a slew of good hitting OFers who are being mocked to us, or adjacent to our pick. Given the success we're seeing with Keith, Perez, Pacheco, and potential with our international guys (Santana and Sequeira), along with our long-term commitment to Baez, I wonder if they'll go OF, which all of a sudden seems a bit barren in our organization (both Cabrera and Packard have disappointed).
  11. I'm a fan. I know he's young, but hope the plan is to get him up to Erie at some point.
  12. Cut him some slack—was probably a ‘roid rage.
  13. Folks, I’m gonna need a ruling on Wenceel. Only 22, so he’s not old for High A, and on pace for a 20-20 season. Legit?
  14. Toledo is a no-brainer. Robson is getting steady AB’s. Time to flip those two.
  15. That’s a band I can get behind.
  16. Dickerson is the man and deserves to be mentioned alongside Ernie and Paul. Jim Price is something else, though. College kids have made a drinking game out of listening to him—take a shot every time he says “yellow hammer”
  17. Can’t we listen to the radio and still bitch about the TV announcers? What are the rules around here?
  18. The worst combination is Shep and Morris. Unwatchable.
  19. He just needs some Fettering—I’d sign him for the minimum once he clears waivers.
  20. If Peralta was stretched out, I’d like to see Brieske get sent down to Toledo after this game. He needs to work on some things, which is probably easier against AAA hitters. I still like his potential, which I think will be somewhere between Brian Moehler and Doug Fister. Let’s hope it’s closer to the latter. I suspect he goes down if/when Tyler Alexander or Michael Pineda are ready.
  21. I’d like to see Carpenter and Robson switch places. Nothing more to do in Erie so let’s see how he does against more experienced pitching.
  22. They are controlled for many more years.
  23. He had a short outing a couple of days ago—that’s when he might have noticed it. There’s no evidence that he has tried to pitch since.
  24. why are we even considering that either Mize or Manning might be a bust? players get injured and often come back and can be productive. Even if either requires a significant surgery, it's not a death sentence for their career. Sure, it would be a setback and defer their contributions, but until we learn that they can't be productive contributors to a winning team, I'd encourage some healthy cautious optimism. Meadows is the one I'm concerned with--I really hope whatever he's going through is temporary. I was excited about adding him to the roster for at least the next couple of seasons.
