We all know that RBI is not a solidly meaningful statistic BUT when your team is last in runs scored in baseball it stands to reason that those RBI's might..maybe..have more value than in the traditional sense. Possible ?

I thought Dirks was solid. He did not sugar coat like all the rest. For example he said clearly that Wentz fastball and off speed was essentially the same speed and not good enough to pitch in the middle of the plate. Bingo. If Wentz can’t paint corners he’s fodder.

True but losing this year would be year 2 selecting top six and give Harris two years of low drafts which may play in to keeping players in the minors and unloading at the trade deadline. This is Harris mulligan year and he will use it as such.

If the idea of controlling the strike zone is to get a good pitch to hit then there’s no reason to wait. If it’s to work a walk then it’s a losing proposition.

I don’t get the Baez hate. I agree the bat has been terrible and frustrating but his defense has been solid and he posts every day. Seriously if he opts out how does that help us ? Who plays shortstop? With so many holes and plenty of payroll space forthcoming why add another problem?

He's as good as gone unless he nose dives. Either at the trade deadline or off season. Maybe Boyd-Lorenzen and EROD also but the latter probably not due to injury and perhaps he doesn't opt out for the same reason...a chance to be Jordan Zimmerman II..hurt all the time. we need to stay the course with Torkelson and keep the top prospects in the minors improving for 2024 while we sort out the players on the MLB roster.Though hard to see I actually think we are improving incrementally and need Badoo-Maton-Verling to establish themselves at this level. It's just sad that two consecutive seasons have nose dived because of injuries to Riley Green. But it proves he's pretty good and just one or two more like him might be enough. Too bad it's not Baez and Tork and could still be but my doubts are rising. I was good with getting Baez but man apart from a short stretch last year he has not posted with the bat. Maybe just let him turn and burn. At least he used to mash some of those pitches out of the zone.
