kinda like mike hart....but a little bit faster. it wouls have been nice to see him play this year against georgia. i think corum is a 3rd or 4th round pick at best coming off that knee injury.
-
a healthy swift has made a big difference for this team. i dont know if corum is as talented as swift. that said, im not opposed to the lions taking a running back after seeing how well the offense runs with multiple good backs in it. and if swift cant stay healthy, they're going to need another playmaker back there.

if holmes thinks stroud or levis or hooker or that kid from florida are going to be game breakers at qb then you draft one of them. jared goff is not that kind of player. if you dont, you pass on them and run with jared for another year and look to next year's class.

the jets game will be a big test for goff. he had a similar test against the giants and passed it, so there is precedent. the jets are a better defense than the giants, so it should be tougher.

wilson strikes me as a phony. i take things marshawn lynch and richard sherman say with a grain of salt, but now people in denver are making the same types of criticisms. him making some big deal about running up and down the aisles on the flight to london before their london game? give me a break. phony pr bullshit that everyone laughed at. i find it very funny denver gave up multiple first round picks for him.

i see a dominant player. not sure if he has the dominant mentality. he's been at his best when he takes over offensively, but too often he spends his time playing point guard and making sure everyone is getting their shots. that's not a terrible trait to have, and if he develops into a 6'7 chris paul that will be awesome. but i want to see the cade we seem to see every 4th quarter to be the cade we see in quarters 1-3 too. he's also very young still. lots of time to become a more consistent shooter and to get bigger physically. passing to victor will also help. 😉

all true, but the niners have an offensive line unlike tampa bay. san fran is his home too. or at least where he grew up. and he doesnt seem like a guy who realizes that he might not have it anymore. (and he just lost a ton of money)
-
i thought the broncos would be really good too.
-
my packers to the super bowl prediction is....not so good. but i did have the lions in second place! lol.
-
all sorts of rumors that brady will end up on the niners. i think glenn gets the houston or denver job if they come open.
-
sigh. better for draft position, but not good for development.
-
i wouldnt trade him for that lakers pick unless it was unprotected. then i might consider it, but probably not. its too speculative.

i think both lions coordinators will get looks as head coaches. aaron glenn has been mentioned for a while. -

dallas is better than detroit. detroit is in that mushy middle of teams. but they're rising to the top of that mushy middle. -

jets might be starting joe flacco. or worse, zach wilson. -

that's why i assumed they would take one this year. let him sit behind goff for at least a year. -

josh allen is much more of a difference maker at qb than jared goff. the lions should always be looking for upgrades in talent at every position, including qb. if they think there is a future difference maker at qb, then draft him. if not, stay with steady eddie jared goff. i still dont believe goff is really anything more than a game manager, but that's ok. those guys are valuable too. -
i honestly expect this to happen. i do not expect them to be that bad offensively two years in a row.

you either trust brad holmes or you dont. if they think levis or stroud (i assume young goes to the texans at 1 but you never know) could develop into an nfl game changing qb then you draft him. if you dont, then you probably dont. at some point they probably need to take a qb. doesnt have to be this year, but i assumed that was their plan all along. but plans change, perhaps their plans have changed? we'll see. -

glenn deserves a lot of praise for the defense the last few weeks. they were dead inbthe water after miami and they've turned it around to become at least respectable. now he just needs to make sure oruwariye never sees the field again. -

i would be ok with them taking a qb in this draft, jared goff's current hot streak notwithstanding. you'll never have a better chance than this year. if they dont feel confident in levis or stroud, then pass. but if they think levis can become an allen type qb, you should take him with the rams pick. this is a big couple of weeks for goff. the jets game is against a really good defense, outdoors in the cold and wind in new jersey. let's see if he can get 300 passing yards against a solid secondary in the elements, or if we get the new england game 2.0. lets hope williams is out. then carolina with a good pass rush before a respite against the bears and the pack in the dead of winter. its going to be a test for jared and the lions. hopefully he'll pass. -
shams in the athletic reporting the lakers want bogdonavic and are willing to give up a first for him (in like 2027...). pistons have multiple suitors that will likely have better offers. reportedly weaver doesnt want to move him. since that comes from jeiii i assume its from weaver and i hope (and also assume) its a smokescreen.

i think it was a gamble like ras's was a gamble. they probably assumed he would get better this year and his bad puck luck would even out a bit. playing with vrana potentially might help. best laid plans of mice and men and all that. its possible that he breaks out eventually, he's still young. but i havent seen anything that indicates he has it in him, and now he's hurt all the time. ras had a 20 game stretch where he really started to play well the year before he signed his deal, zadina has never had that type of stretch.

arizona has no chance to make the playoffs. that team is toast and will be looking for a new coach very soon.
