  1. He thinks so anyway.
  2. According to the resident manager, Faedo was heading to the pen and Wentz was going to stay in the rotation. So much for that idea.
  3. MLB has Faedo listed as the probable starter against Cole. Just last week Hinch stated that Faedo would transition to a middle innings reliever. Perhaps this is a planned bullpen game and Alex is first up. We’ll see.
  4. As of this evening there are four teams in the NL tied for the third wild card spot.
  5. I believe that is correct.
  6. Read a piece in the Freep this week, I believe it was, that Faedo will trend toward being a middle innings guy. Hinch is talking about Faedo being a two or three innings type reliever. I think it makes sense at this point.
  7. Just finished reading Geezer Butler’s book, Into the Void. As much as I followed the original Black Sabbath, there was a lot of information about the band I was not aware of. Butler is a very down to earth guy. I’d love to sit and have a pint or two with him. If you had any interest in the band I would recommend it. It is officially an autobiography.
  8. I saw the original Who on November 20, 1971 in the old Charlotte (NC) Coliseum. They were on the ‘Who’s Next’ Tour. The opening act was some local band-can you imagine opening for The Who! The Who were awesome, as one would expect. This is the only time I ever saw them but I believe they were probably at their peak at about this time.
  9. The Tigers, according to a report by The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal, have placed veteran right-hander Jose Cisnero on waivers
  10. Don’t panic. Harris sees something in this guy that no one else is capable of seeing. It’s all good.
  11. https://www.mlb.com/player/bennett-sousa-656986 Bennett Sousa waiver pick up from the Brewers is “full bore” trying to win.
  12. It was who I suspected…C Mo.
  13. I give up, who is in the booth with Dan?
  14. Sorry guys, for the senior citizens here that tune in to Dan & Andy from afar, 6:40 is the sweet spot.
  15. The s**t show finally comes to a close. What a pathetic showing.
  16. I hope you’re right.
  17. I would think not if he is retiring.
  18. From the WaPo: “The financial implications of Strasburg’s retirement were not immediately known Thursday afternoon. After this season, Strasburg’s contract had an average annual value of $35 million for three more years. The Nationals do not have any disability insurance on Strasburg’s contract, according to multiple people familiar with the situation.” ~NO DISABILITY INSURANCE on his contract! That hurt.
  19. I thought Wentz was that guy? Maybe not.
  20. Perhaps the Tigers give him a crack at doing some games on air with either radio or television. Currently the Tigers need upgrades in a big way there. He’s a Detroit guy with roots in Motown. Jim Price would be the first to tell to you how special catchers are behind the mike.
  21. Yankees may very well have a new manager when Williamsport rolls around next year. https://www.mlb.com/news/aaron-boone-hal-steinbrenner-brian-cashman-meeting
  22. Welcome to the board Miggie.
  23. It did my heart good to see Gerrit Cole get knocked around yesterday. As I recall, four innings and six runs. They were some very expensive innings. And who can’t enjoy seeing Boston and New York at the bottom of the AL East. It’s the little things that keep a Tiger fan going.
  24. I don’t know. I think the Yankees will continue to struggle next year as well. 😉
  25. Pretty sure I read that 18 years of age is minimum age of consent in The Dominican Republic. This from some official in DR discussing this very situation.
