    There has never been a team of elite fielders who can't hit. So, we'll never know what such a team would do. Ideally, a team is at least average in every facet and obove average in a couple of areas.

    I think defense is underrated. If you have great defense, it can turn an average staff into a good one. With all the strikeouts in today's game, it matters less than it used to. but it's still important.

    Cmo loves him! Jack Morris likes his bat, but in his the 80s when he was playing everybody was expected to be a complete player who could field his position.

    So, Jung can't field or run and has a weird stance, but he has a lot of potential as a hitter. I am glad they selected a hitter.

    I remember when there were two drafts (a smaller one in the winter) and you barely even know about them until they showed up in the transaction box in the paper the next morning.

    He could indentify an elephant in a picture! My father who was 94 at the time also passed the same test. My mother who had pretty advanced dementia at the time took the same test and was able to answer half the questions.

    Lots of deadline trades for 18 year-old shortstops with no plate dicipline and hard throwing relievers with command problems.

    Jobe will be a starter for the Tigers in 2026. He'll have experimental rotatator cuff surgery in May. He'll come back in 2028 as an ace reliever for the Rays. Tigers General Manager James McCann will sign him to a three-year deal in 3035 and you know what happens next.

    I don't believe there is anyone on the board thinks Hinch is Hitler because of the Astro scandal. Most believe that the scandal was overblown, but they question why players continued to cheat when Hinch apparently tried to stop them.

    I was going to say that the Tigers had better pitching, but they are about the same this year. I didn't realize how poor the Angels offense was this year. On the other hand, Trout and Ohtani are a lot more entertaining than anything the Tigers have.

    I think most of what he does "makes sense". He correctly identifies weaknesses and tries to fix them with trades and free agents. He just hasn't been good at it! He lacks innovation and perhaps negotiation skills.

    I just looked at the video one more time to see if I was missing something. I still don't see anything wrong with his gesture.

    It would make it more interesting for sure, but they still wouldn't make the same impact as NBA first rounders.
