  1. So we're going into the game with Tom Kennedy as our #2?
  2. MLive: Democrats pull support for candidate running for Jackson, Washtenaw County state House seat Some really appalling, ugly, unconscionable details coming out about Democratic State House candidate Maurice Imhoff out in the Jackson/Washtenaw area. I feel horrific for the women whom he abused, tormented, and took advantage of. If the statute of limitations hasn't passed, I hope these young women get the justice they so rightly deserve against this guy. He has obviously be unendorsed by the Michigan House Democrats caucus, the Governor, and other local Democratic groups that were supporting him. More than any political price he pays though, there ought be full, legal consequences against him.
  3. Can they carry Patricia off the field on their shoulders like the Bills did with Schwartz when they beat us? In all seriousness, if we lose to a team starting Bailey Zappe at QB and give up a point total north of 35 that's going to change future conversations regarding Aaron Glenn's job and it should. Campbell said Aaron Glenn is his guy at the press conference after the debacle against Seattle. If Glenn's defense has another awful week, against a rookie QB no less, I don't know that Campbell will be able to avoid the conversation about replacing Glenn.
  4. The moral majority of America!
  5. It's too bad the NFL doesn't etch players names on the Lombardi Trophy like the Stanley Cup. Coulda had Stat Padford inscribed on it.
  6. I don't think Geno Smith is getting a big contract from Seattle after Sunday like Matt Flynn did, from the Seahawks no less.
  7. RIP to Loretta Lynn. As a big fan of real, traditional country, I am sadden to hear of her passing. She was truly a revolutionary force for woman in music, country genre or otherwise. At a time when women were not allowed to speak out and push the envelope in music and entertainment, she did. Loretta wrote and sung songs that pushed the boundaries of music and what women were allowed to sing about. From Coal Miner's Daughter to Rated X to The Pill to You Ain't Woman Enough to Take My Man.
  8. I think how the urban Atlanta and suburban Atlanta turnout and votes are going in Georgia may be somewhat of a bell weather as to how the night is going to go for either party. They have two competitive races with the Senate and Governors races. Urban and Suburban Atlanta can possibly help tell us about which voters are turning out and who are they breaking for because it has a diverse mix of college educated, voters of color, black voters, working class voters, suburban woman, suburban white woman, MAGA white men, and young voters in the 18-35 demographic. The only thing I worry about there is the football angle. People may just end up voting for Walker because they remember him as a football God in their state and thus making that Senate race less of a bell weather because of the unique status of one of the candidates.
  9. GOD DAMN, HE DESTROYED HIS FATHER!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Last night's Rams game against the 49'ers was all my Stafford complaints wrapped up into one, minus the garbage time, Stat Padford yards. Good for him though that he disproved me last year already by winning a Super Bowl, so I can't take an "I told you so" victory lap.
  11. Beyond the fact that that this woman is clearly a dunce for tweeting at a minor league baseball team about election fraud, she does realize that when you feed your ballot into the tabulator, it counts that ballot and displays it on the tabulator as having been counted. A total count of all ballots cast at that precinct also shows up at the end of the night on the tabulator's "receipt" that gets printed out.
  12. Trolling Dr. Oz with Dr. Nick Riviera is fucking great!!!
  13. I think the big difference is Sewell is trending to be an All Pro player and key contributor on the offensive line. Whereas Levi hasn't hardly played a snap with this team. Levi looks like a complete bust and JOK looks like a stud. Both Sewell and Parsons look like All Pro studs.
  14. A lot of us here wanted Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah instead of Levi. Not that one player would make all the difference, but you have to wonder what things would be like with this defense had they taken JOK instead.
  15. When MB talks about why don't more fans focus on how well the offense is going, Ben Johnson, Holmes acquisition of offensive players, etc, it is this exact sentiment from fans as to why. Professional sports is a wins and losses business and right now we have more losses than wins. So unfortunately, fans will take a shortsighted approach (I among them) and focus squarely on the losing record and why we lost, rather than looking how how great this offense has been playing and how close we are to turning losses into wins. Part of it is just human nature among sports fans and part of it is just the shortsighted nature of sports fans.
  16. I'm not writing him off yet because I just want to believe that Brad Holmes is the right guy for the job, knows what he's doing, and drafted the right player here. I have witnessed nothing on the field that would give me any real hope. I'm just putting my faith in Holmes and this staff to turn his career around. I hope this doesn't end up as another Lions second round bust.
  17. Boy, I really hope Levi is as good as advertised. Brad Holmes thought so highly of him he wanted to trade back into the first round and go and get him. Let's hope he comes back quickly, shakes the rust off fast, and contributes ASAP.
  18. Paul Chryst fired from Wisconsin. I think PJ Fleck would be a good fit for the Badgers.
  19. Melifonwu was available for today's game and could have played. Hutch isn't so banged up he couldn't play. If he's going to be active and playing I think it's fair to expect him to have had some contribution to today's game.
  20. Brad Holmes has drafted 10 defensive players in 2 years and these are the results we get thus far. How much of this is on play development from Aaron Glenn and his staff?
  21. Going into the season I said I cared more about player improvement then I did win/loss totals. On this defense who exactly has significantly or even slightly improved overall? Maybe Jeff Okudah, but he wasn't a rock today out there in coverage was he? Who else has improved besides Okudah? I'm seeing a ton of guys either go backwards or stuck in neutral. It's probably too early to judge Hutchison, but he's been useless in the 3 of 4 games and has been statistically a non-factor. Alim McNeil has been a non-factor as well and looks bad against the run. Michael Brockers play has fallen off a cliff. We've gotten nothing from the Okwara brothers. Alex Anzalone is lost out on the field, running right into blocks. Amani Oruwariye is grading out as one of the worst CBs in the league and is making countless costly penalties and mistakes. As an entire unit we look poorly coached and have been making numerous penalties and mistakes that set his team back. In crucial moments we can't be counted to make a stop. We can't even hold an offense as bad as Seattle's, with Geno Smith at QB, to a punt and get the turnover on downs. What is the justification for Aaron Glenn keeping his job at this point? Who has improved under his watch as DC?
  22. Can't even get a stop on 3&5 with the game on the line.
