  1. When has Husso ever looked incredible? The guy is always hurt. When he has played for us he's still giving up a 3.55 GAA. This season he's got a 9.42 GAA so far haha.
  2. Don't forget disaffected young voters, progressive/left voters, and Arab/Muslim voters who will abandon Harris over Gaze, Lebanon, and the administration's foreign policy. For an election that will be won and lost on the margins, those votes could matter.
  3. Quinnipiac yesterday looked bad for Harris, as did the NYT/Siena poll.
  4. Good inning by getting the run in from third. So far we're averaging 1 run per inning. With 8 innings in baseball for the home team with a lead we're trending to 8 runs by my count.
  5. Great job getting out of the jam there after the infield error.
  6. Is there anything positive to extract from the early voting data that Simon is positing about here? Is it still too early and useless to read into it positively? Could Trump's support just wash us out come election day? The data comes from Tom Bonier and the team at Target Early, which tracks early voting data.
  7. Draft Kings Sportsbooks has Jamo as +1100 to score the first TD of the game. I really don't bet that often, but I've thought about taking that bet this week and putting $50 on Jamo getting the first TD.
  8. Eat em up forever! When you can just hear the picture someone posted.
  9. The District Detroit will be rocking as hard as you can rock out in parking lots, abandon buildings, and undeveloped renderings of what should have been.
  10. It could be an outlier poll for sure. Could it also represent Trump surging with older voters and Latinos?
  11. A lot of Lions fans wanted the hometown boy Robert Saleh and now he's gone in New York. I liked Saleh at the time but had preferred a more offensive-minded coach. Glad we hire MCDC instead of Saleh as it's worked out way better for us in the end.
  12. And then the NYT/Siena says it's Trump +13 in Florida. Polling is just so wild and unpredictable.
  13. Now I've tried my best not to take the polls that seriously, but honestly, I've been failing at that. But when Rasmussen, a noted right wing/Republican pollster has Trump only up 2% in Florida, it may just really be that close.
  14. You know why Campus Martius has so rapidly changed for the better? Because it isn't/wasn't owned by Detroit's most high profile slumlord in Mike Ilitch. You can always tell the parts of downtown or buildings that are controlled more by the Ilitches. Take a look at the District Detroit or Foxtown developments along Woodward. Foxtown never even got off the ground. The District Detroit isn't much better. So far all that has been developed is a taxpayer subsidized arena and the parking lots surrounding it.
  15. Do you think other front offices in the league, who are on the inside, look at the Bengals as a potential playoff team at this point or are other front offices starting to look towards the trade deadline and who the Bengals might be willing to part with? If I had to guess, teams are still taking the Bengals seriously because of the offensive talent they have, but that they realistically know it's going to be next to impossible for them to make the playoffs sitting at 1-4.
  16. Can you please change your misleading thread title. We aren't just playing Dallas this week. It should read as follows . . . Week Six: Detroit Lions (3-1) @ Dallas Cowboys (3-2) and Refs (2-0)
  17. I don't think Trump's rhetoric and lies around the hurricane cost him North Carolina, but it may not have helped. In any case, I'm sharing this video of this women impacted by the hurricane ranting on Trump because it's awesome.
  18. Austin Watson had . . . checks notes . . . 4 points last year. We're giving a guy who guy 4 points in 33 games played, a roster spot? Had he played a full season he would have been on pace for about 12 points. Why the heck does Austin Watson have a roster spot over Mazuer or Kasper? This is Ken Holland signing Steve Ott all over again. Next thing you know Yzerman is going to come out and say we like our team, this is a men's league, and kids aren't the answer.
  19. Pride of Detroit: Would a trade for Trey Hendrickson make sense for Detroit Lions?
  20. Only 5% of teams that start 1-4 end up making the playoffs. Their season is over and there is a strong possibility they fire Zac Taylor. If Taylor is gone too then a retool will may in order to retool around Burrow. With Hendrickson turning 30 this season, he might age out of their timeline. At minimum we should be calling them. We all think we need an edge rusher, but maybe the front office doesn't think so. But no one could deny that putting Hendrickson opposite Hutch wouldn't be a pass rush force.
  21. Bengals lost again and they're now 1-4. They're out of the playoff picture now. It's time for Cincinnati to have a garage sale and sell some players. This front office knows way more than I do, but wishing and speculating are what make being a fan fun. I want Brad Holmes on the phone with Duke Tobin and inquiring about Trey Hendrickson.
  22. Aaron Rodgers looks baked and anything but elite. I don't see this season getting substantially better for the Jets. Maybe I shouldn't discount Aaron Rodgers so quickly, but he doesn't look good.
  23. Actually, you should get less, if any, political mailers now addressed to you. The smart campaigns will take you off their mail list once they know you turned your ballot in.
  24. This is my baseless conspiracy theory, but I think Melania is voting for Harris or at least leaving the top of her ballot blank.
