  1. Pacioretty signed with Toronto today. Glad we didn't waste a roster spot on it.
  2. Can you imagine if Barack Obama sat there for 7 minutes and did nothing how the right would have reacted. Now, I don't think Bush needed to run out of that classroom and scare the kids or school staff. But if Obama had sat their like that, the right would have lost its mind. If Biden had sat their like that they'd call him an alzheimer's patient, incapable of doing the job.
  3. I still think he and Trump are at least tied. But history and Trump's Presidency has allowed him to wash over his legacy of barbarism, death, and destruction in Iraq. History and time have turned a war criminal into a painter.
  4. So much for biased moderators.
  5. The media, because of their bothsidesism and not wanting to seem biased, will not hammer Trump the way they did Biden after his bad performance. Trump was a sweaty, ranting, raving, narcissistic, unhinged man tonight, but the media will go lighter on him then they did Biden two months ago.
  6. **** yeaaaaah Taylor Swift. Thank you for speaking out and doing the right thing. I don't even listen to her music as it's not my cup of tea, but I understand what a cultural icon she is to tens-of-millions of people in this country or more. Her endorsement is meaningful and significant.
  7. Any day now we'll here about what a great plan he has. Any day!
  8. She is Biden? Kamala Biden?
  9. She said he negotiated one of the weakest deals ever. She's using his own lines against him and I'm here for it.
  10. He's ranted for 45 minutes straight.
  11. LOL Viktor Orban
  12. He's ranting at David Muir now.
  13. He took the debate and went full crazy.
  14. Harris is crushing him on the abortion issue and he's out talking about student loans.
  15. Yeah, I didn't like the way she ducked answering it. She should have said of course we're better off.
  16. No, because cultural issues matter more. Culture is king. If you hate blacks, you hate blacks. If you hate gays, you hate gays. If you hate immigrants, you hate immigrants. If you hate Jews and Muslims and Hindus and Sikhs, you hate them all. You're not going to vote for a black woman like Kamala if you fundamentally think blacks are inferior. You're not going to vote for Pete if you fundamentally think being gay is an immoral sin in the eyes of God. No amount of climate animosity is going to change deep seated racial, ethnic, sexual orientation, or religious bigotry. And even if they were worried about the climate, they'd just blame it all on the EPA, federal regulations, and woke marxists anyways. I used to believe there was a way forward with some of these rural and white working class voters on economic and climate related issues. As if the Democratic Party would just do a better job promoting a populist, economic agenda ala Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren they could win some of these rural and white working class voters back. On the margins, you might be able to get a few voters on economic issues as Bernie did in the 2016 primary and Biden did in 2020. I still do believe the Democratic Party needs to push a populist, anti-corporate, pro-worker agenda too. I just don't believe it's going to peel off the number of voters I used to believe it would because culture is king. But they like Trump because he talks about and thinks about blacks, muslims, jews, homosexuals, transexuals, immigrants in the same way many of them do. Using the same stereotypes and prejudices many of them have. And having a guy like Trump around, their predispositions towards bigotry and intolerance are only being amplified and ratcheted up by his rhetoric and the rhetoric of those in his universe (Fox News, Steve Bannon, Brietbart, other politicians, his campaign surrogates, etc). You're not going to change Archie Bunker's mind with a climate plan or because weather events are becoming more extreme. Trump is Archie Bunker and represents the millions of Archie Bunker's still left in this country.
  17. Losing Jamal Williams was truly a gift in disguise it would seem.
  18. I thought he got beat several times tonight and made two bad penalties. As I said earlier, I think he looked like the rookie CB that he is.
  19. Yeah, he looked disruptive a few different times tonight and that was a net positive for this defense.
  20. Always a doubt over here, but I won't apologize for a win. That said, their use of St. Brown tonight was inconsistent and really inexplicably bad. He needed more targets overall it felt like and I feel their offense stalled out in the second half partly because of his lack of usage.
  21. **** yeah baby!!! They fought hard and didn't quit.
  22. Remember when Jerome Bettis called one thing on the coin flip on OT, but the ref said he called the otherside of the coin? Loved that moment haha.
  23. Uh oh, two rookie corners out there.
  24. Why did Collinsworth say not getting the first down helps us there?
