The Tigers have told you that their team is garbage with this offense. They know the team needs a huge overhaul. They don't feel like wasting time trying to make this offense better.
There is no in between contact with Tork. It’s a stretch of homers then pop ups and strikeouts. He just does not get on base enough when there is no slugging.
Hinch was really feeling himself during the 971 interview. He loves all the late game pinch hitting. It’s a bit of a make work but he can show his genius.
One thing that the Tigers ML report guys mentioned is Tork's poor contact rate in the minors. Colt Keith seems to make contact so that might be a plus in his favor.
Jace Jung seems to be have the same issues with making consistent contact....this should be tracked.
We need the Twins and Cleveland Gardenhires to take off here. The 'division race' is screwing with people's brains.
The Tigers are not prioritizing winning individual games with the roster choices they are making. We should track young players and basically ignore the rest. They aren't punishing any of the hitters for poor performance.
The Tigers have left Haase and Schoop last through July 4th. Winning today's game is not a priority. Skubal and Olson pitched well; The manfred runner scored in the 10th.
The Tigers have announced the following roster moves:
*Placed LHP Tyler Alexander on the 60-day injured list, retroactive to July 3, with a left lat/shoulder strain
*Reinstated LHP Tarik Skubal from the 60-day injured list
