  1. Anabolic steroids...you get popped, who cares...you're quitting anyway. Won't help with the degenerative process on the knee, but it will enhance strength and recovery. Or maybe do stem cell therapy...or do a Keith Richards and switch out his blood with a 25 year-old's The point is...there's options
  2. Manning on the DL with a forearm strain...the precursor to TJ surgery
  3. Old guys need lovin' too
  4. Didn't suggest he wouldn't...merely speculating on who might stay on
  5. First three have the same odds of winning
  6. FWIW..Bultman said Cossa played as well as he's seen him and Edvinsson played well...particularly on the PP. Gave him a B though because he's probably the top prospect in the tournament and as such he's holding him to a higher standard
  7. Dumbest idea since three ft to make two from the 60's and 70's
  8. They're pitching to our whole team like a bunch of Babe Ruths
  9. They will or they won't...it's a 50/50 proposition.
  10. I have a family member who survived a serious bout with Covid and know of others...it can really mess with your mental state, even after the physical symptoms have lessened. For people involved in long term medical research, I think Covid is going to be a treasure chest
  11. Liked the Supersonics jersey's...hate that Rockets uniform. Speaking of Supersonic.....JJ Fad. THAT was Supersonic
  12. Tork is back...let's see if that exit velo increases a bit
  13. He lists Edvinsson as an "NHL average" skater. First I've ever seen his skating listed as anything but above average
  14. McCoskey (paywalled article) lists Meadows, Wenceel, Bergner and Gipson-Long as "on the bubble" to be protected from rule 5. He protects Kreidler and Olson....leaves Lipcius, DeLa Rosa and Hess out in the cold. I would definitely put Meadows and Wenceel on the 40 man along with Kreidler and Olson.
  15. He was traded right before the start of the 1984 season...along with Glenn Wilson...to Philadelphia for Bergman and Willie Hernandez. That trade was the final piece of the puzzle (along with Evans as a FA) in making the Tigers WS champs
  16. Burrned his bridges on the way out of town....but he and Summers were a potent DH platoon for awhile there
  17. Flores with a good outing for Erie....Sequera jacks his 18th in Lakeland. Tork goes 2 for 4
  18. Both Shelton and Boesch had two productive seasons in Detroit. Be great if Carpenter surpassed that...but I'd be ecstatic to get those results from a 19th round pick
  19. Pronman listed Edvinsson as one of the tournament's disappointments while noting that he was injured pre tournament and had food poisoning during it. Whatever....
  20. Jobe threw close to 48 pitches in 1.2 innings. Gave up a run one one hit...but three walks to go with three K's. Sounds like he was getting a lot of movement...but didn't have much command. Not too surprising for a 19 year old. On a happier note...Sequera hit his 17th HR. Not bad for a 19 year-old
  21. They went in looking for problems and found an issue with the flexor tendon. Perhaps Tarik needs to clean up his mechanics or move to the pen
  22. Give them a taste of the level you're going to assign them to next year
  23. You can't run Miggy out there next year...he's shot. If he insists on coming back...stick him on the 60 day DL...his knee appears to be made of wet cardboard now, so I think it will be viewed as legit. If he plays along nice, bring him back in Sept for a farewell tour. If he starts griping...bring off the DL and DFA him. The most depressing aspect re this team....Harold Castro and Riley Greene are the only two position players I would want to play next year. The rest...including Baez...can hit the tape
  24. Dingler and Crouch should be moved up a level each...and maybe Wenceel. Sad that you really can't find position players beyond those guys that warrant it right now. I sure do hope they can fix Tork. Missing on 1:1 can really F up your rebuilding timeline
