The Guardians are +4000. That would be a much better bet from a risk/reward aspect, but 6 games is really tough to make up in 48 games, and they would actually have to make up 7 games to overtake the Tigers. I have no idea how tie-breakers work in mlb.

Usually Detroit is in the top 5 annually for homicide rate, along with St. Louis, Washington, and the other usual candidates. People can claim its amazing and super safe, but like all big cities, if you go to the wrong part of town, you're asking for trouble.

You have to give up something to get something back. I would suspect that the majority of GMs like it when the deal is fairly even and works for both teams. That way you get a reputation as being fair. I'd much rather deal with someone like that than a guy who is always screwing people over.
