DeSantis came across as shy and uncomfortable.... like he didnt know what to say or do in situations. Nixon was like that a lot. Small talk wasn't his game. Vance knows what he's saying... it's just bad things.

As I often quote PJ O Rourke in 2016 "I think Hillary Clinton is wrong on everything. But she's wrong within normal parameters" Most of the time politics can be worked out in a middle groud but I think Obama's election did away with that. It also started with Gingrich on a smaller scale but Clinton outsmarted them. But they never forgot. The point of congress after his election became denying the oppostion party's re-election.

I hope his son Jack is doing ok. He was such an early advocate for special needs kids. It wasn’t talked about as much thirty years ago but thanks to people like Jim having that courage it is now.
